Do a search on this forum for lowering...I have responded and one other member I know of has also taken the plunge to lowering. I'll tell you now, lowering is an alternative. Cutting is as well, but it is pricey. Go to the sportbike section for these threads or as I said do a search.

The manual should tell you break in period.

I would get the akrapovich slip on. I put it on my bike and didnt notice a huge difference in sound, but when i took it out yesterday it sounded so sweet now that its broken in!
Breakin question: Kawa recomends <4k RPMS under 500 miles <6K RPMS under 1000 miles Oil change is done at first service which should be done between 600-1000 miles. The recommended break in is hard to do though as 4K rpms is not highway speed. Just make sure you shift a lot and slow down through the gears often. |
