Hey guys, quick question.
I am about to buy a CLEAN 1989 ZX750F. Pods, big jet, pipe, all black. I currently own a 600R 1989. What kind of size difference is there? I am concerned in terms of weight, length, etc. Ballpark? Thanks. |

ok, ill explain it ALL later...but, although im sure its been asked before.........
what forks are "bolt on"( bolt in....no mods..) for my 1988 zx600c ninja why change forks? i want a set that are NOT electronic controlled..... why? anyone who knows electronic devices knows they can fail without warning my 88 ninja: ESCS forks....... i dont quite honestly understand what that escs does totally.....but if it "controlls" the suspension......and decides to quit in a corner....the way i ride...im dead.....so id rather my forks are soft due to seals...i can fix it.....but i know nothing about the "escs" on these 600c ninjas.....but just dont want something electronic deciding to go to sleep so, screw cost, i can afford it, whats the best set of forks that will bolt up? or if you can convince me to keep the "escs"....... when im more awake/alive, ill post pics of my 6

Hey,
I've been trying to get my motorcycle to start since its been pretty nice out lately. Its a 1994 zx-6r and had no trouble starting until now. Heres the situation: I had it sitting outside and was starting it up and letting it run a few minutes once a week until one week it wouldn't start. The fuel had stabilizer in it, and cold start also. I charged the battery and the engine turns over but doesn't start. I replaced the old spark plugs and checked that they work. I tried using a spray carb cleaner, but there was no change. Yesterday I managed to get it (somewhat) running for like 5 seconds but it didn't sound good and quickly died out and I haven't had any better results since then. I have the service manuals but am just unsure of what I should look into next. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance Brian |

Hey all, just put a deposit on a yellow/black 2001 zx-7. I got a great deal, but I would like some input from people who have similar bikes. My previous bike was a 99R1. Never again, worst luck I ever had with a bike. Thanks for your opinions, and I will post pics as soon as I pick it up.

Could someone give me the run down on the Ninja 650r and the zzr600? Those are 2 of the bikes that I am so far interested in. I plan to take them for a spin once the weather breaks. I'd aslo like to check out the 06 suzuki katana 600 since there isnt an 07 thats if I can find a left over and the Hyosung gt650r. I like the looks of the fairing bikes and always wanted one and thats what I am after but I do have a concern about the handlebar height. Sometimes my hands/wrists go numb when riding. I could really use some good input here hopefully this will help with my decision(s).

Hey ShellB, there's a couple of good discussions already going on about these very bikes. http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...highlight=650r http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...hlight=hyosung I hope this helps you make your decision.

Hello. I am new to the site. I have been reading through and I see that everyone is very knowledgeable about motorcycles. I am very impressed. I need some serious assistance. I don't know anything about motorcycles, but my wife has a ZZR 600. Everytime she starts the bike and attempts to ride it, it shuts off. This problem among other ones is preventing us from being able to take the bike to the nearest Kawasaki dealership. Anyone in the Houston area that can offer any assistance or advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

Not sure if I can help, but does it idle ok, but die when you give it gas? I had that problem with my Suzuki and it was a coil. not sure if that is what is happening to you, but possibly. Welcome

i am getting ready to fix my bike after a bit of an accident. tore up the front fairing and gauge panel and stuff..
now for my question, im wanting to put the zx6r fairing and headlights in it. will the regular zx-6 mirrors and dash panel and stuff bolt right up with all the 'r' fairing stuff? or am i barking up the wrong tree? |

Hey all,
My 91 zx600d has been loosing power when I get up in around 5000-6000 RPMs. When loosing power it feels kinda sputtery/jumpy and its tottally bogging out. IDEAS?? I went out tonight and did a little poking around under the tank. I havnt had the chance to run it and look at the plugs yet tho, its been snowing. What I did find was there is a button like valve attached under the tank that the main gas line runs from. The gas can only pass through the valve when the button is depressed ( it is supposed to be depressed when the seat is on). So I dismantled the button so now it always stays ALL the way open. <-- could this have been enough to cause a loss of power? The other thing I found was a red sticky substance (trany fluid?? oil??) in the bottom of the air box and in the air filter??<-- could this starve enough air to slow me down? |
