Will it affect the power and durability whether you break-in during cooler or warmer weather?

Shouldn't make too much of a difference. The only reason I would say warm might be slightly better is because you need the oil to lube all the internal parts of the engine. However, if you do break it in in cold weather, just make sure you wait till the heat is up before you start taking off.

I wonder if you could cover part of your radiator and watch your temps. What temp sets the warning light off?

    Cool

I'm sorry for the lame questions, I just hope I get this bike this coming Monday.
If I do get it then, I shouldn't have to worry about the cold weather.

I honestly don't know the temp that sets off the light, but I've been up to 220 F, and the light didn't come on. And no such thing as a lame question, unless it's whether or not you should go with a cruiser or a supersport .

Oil Level on 86-87 or later.

Hold the bike strait up, not on the center stand.

And you want 1/4 to 1/2 of a glass of oil visible.

    Have fun.

They are very sweet bikes & much more cost effective vs. a 6R or 6RR.

All in good time my good man... It's all about the all mighty dollar at this point. I can't see spending that much for a bike right now. My financial cap towards a bike is $3,000 (once I come up with that much in my bank account). I don't like owning the bank money personally. All of my vehicles are paid off & I like knowing the bank can't take them away from me!!

    Question What Bike Matches Mine?

    Hello,

I need to get a lower left fairing for a 2006 ZZR600. I'm having a really hard time finding what's the similar bike. I've heard a 2002 ZX6R but then there's a J and an E model of that. I'm so confused! Color isn't an issue because I'm going to get a paint job. I just want to get the fairing that will fit my bike if I can get it off EBAY. Also if I need to get other parts. So basically I want to know all the bikes and year that have the same schematics as mine.

    Thanks for helping me out!!

I had a 2001 ZX-6R and it is the same bike...the upper fairing stays that support the mirrors is different but so far thats all I can find different. I have thrown a couple of pics up to compare just for the heck of it..note the fairing bolts and air vents..they are the same.
