As you imagine Deals Gap is a blast...just be sure to wear gear and ride within your limits or the "Dragon" will bite/eat you. Everyweekend there are accidents, there have been a some fatalities in the last 4 months aswell. Its not a place to be taken lightly. Be sure to ride the Cherohala...it has long sweeping turns and great scenery!
So yes it is fun but just be as safe as possible and still enjoy yourself. It is very busy on weekends during warm months and slower through the week. The Cross Roads of Time and Dragons Den Grill is a great place to rest and get a bite to eat or something to drink! I belong to a group called the East Tennessee Riders, some of us are up there nearly every weekend or weekday! Start saving up, its well worth it. There are lots of great roads in E. TN and W. NC.

Here are some pics from Sundays ride. They are scenic, not really action shots. The fall colors are nice! It was 74 here in E. TN. today, a wonderful day, surprisingly there were not many bikes at the Gap today. One camaro got ate by the "dragon" today though!!

hate to bring bad news, but from the parts diagrams at the dealership, the <2002 zx6r-j wont fit right. maybe with some re-fitting, but who needs that. unless someone can show you how it fits right in front of your face, i'd save my beans n get the right part.

I have new 06 ZZR600. The frame for this bike has 2 threaded holes (that stick out about a 1/2 inch) on each side. They are about even with the gas tank but a bit lower.
They are not mentioned in the owners manual and I don't think they are for accessories? Does anyone know what they are for? Thanks for any help, Nick |

Kevin, Tell me how you like your new pipe.
Nfoot, I saw a bike with a windshield support bracket fastened to those screws mounts your refering to, also the steering damper sounds workable also. I got 803 miles on her, 200 more miles and I get to taste that powerband, can't wait. John

Has anyone put an undertail or flush mounted blinkers on your bike yet? If you have tell me what type you got. I'm planning Dassolt undertail but still looking for signals. 2nd and 3rd gear were clunky, then I learned to speed shift for it to shift smoother.
4th gear likes to not engage everynow and then, I would like to lower the gear shifter some. What's yours doing?
