man, i love the new exaust, i got to ride all day today with the bike and it moves fast and sounds even faster. dude, you dont need the full exaust unless you plan on fully drag racing the bike or road racing the bike, the slip on exaust is what i got and its perfect. i do recomend the dampiner, the steering of the bike is real wobbly especially on hard launches.i have only been riding for a while, but i have noticed that the bike tends to lift the front wheel very easy and starts to make the steering feel whobbly.

Thanks for the feedback, I've started looking at the slip-ons more today anyway since it works better for me $$$ wise, and I like what I'm hearing bout the yoshi now but i kinda like the akra as well...so now its decision time.

What kind of gas mileage do other 600cc riders experience?
the most I have had is 130 miles out of a tank (filled up with bike upright and right to the top)
Usually get around 120 miles till reserve!

As I mentioned Kawasaki gearboxes are noisy, the jumping means you need to have your clutch cable adjusted. When you get it serviced, tell them about it.

There is an excellent explanation for this in the current issue of Cycle World. It's in the "Service" section by Paul Dean. I couldn't find a link to post, but I will sum it up:
A reader asked about an '04 zx6r. His question was about a loud clunk shifting into 1st gear, and he said that his bike even lurched forward a bit when he made this shift.
Mr. Dean answered that the transmission mainshaft still spins even though clutch is engaged. When you engage first gear, and the mainshaft and countershaft gears mesh, the mainshaft is brought to a sudden halt(!).
He aslo advises this can be reduced by ensuring your idle speed is correct and by not "blipping" the throttle before you shift into gear.

Default Z750S Fuel Mileage

The local shop wants to make a deal on an '05. Mileage is real important to me. What are people really getting? I will be using this for long range commuting, aprox 160 miles a day. I think the dealers figures are a bit optimistic. By the way I get high 30's out of a Cavalier.

Default 94 ZX7-R ignition Problem

Maybe someone can direct me in the right direction! I had a friend come to me to fix a little problem on his bike. The bike when setting the key to the off position; it stays on. You pull out the key and the light turns off but he engine still runs. I figured since its pretty beat up its probably the ignition switch. I changed it and it still did the same thing. I started to mess around with it when i found a black plug near the battery, pulled it out and plugged the battery back in and it started to work fine. Friend picked up the bike and came back in the evening telling me its doing it again. What do you think it could be?

Got a question for 600 owners. At what point do you say " ok, time to buy a 600"? When im not working all the time i want to do some touring eventually on, yes; a sport bike. Not much of a touring bike kinda guy.

I am still learning on my 250r, probobly will be for a year or 2.
