Hi there

I am new here so please bare with me

To cut a long story short i have well i had a 2006 ZX636R Ninja all black and lent it to my mate to go and get there rear tire changed.

Guess what it never got there and then he told me he wasn't insured, i checked he had a full bike licence and he rode a R1 so thought it would be fine, but was silly enough to forget to check his insurance he has now buggered off and im left with it.

He hit a 30 mph sign on the right handle bar. (speed is questionable)

Is there anyone in the longfield, kent area that know a hell of alot about the 2006 ZX636r Ninja that could help me put her back together or atleast tell me what is wrong with her and what is need please.

There will be plenty of cold beer and dinner for who ever helps lol

She just wont start now, im worried it could be the CDI UNIT but i could be well off the mark.

The folks seem straight, but there is a little rub on the front end but again i think that might be where the front brake is broke and ****ing out fluid and has come on slightly.

It needs a new raidator as there is a hole in it and there is wiring that i have not got a clue where any of it goes lol.

Atleast the speedo is good so hopfully it is repairable and will show the correct miles.

The head lights are completely shot, front fairing and right fairings are shot to, Air intake i think has had it to.

I am sorry to butt into this convo but really could do with some help from other Kawasaki / Bikers out there as can't claim as i wasn't riding, do have some money to fix here but need it as cheap as possible.

I hope im welcome here and there is some-one out there that can get me back on the road before summer ends as was really looking forward to it this year.

Thanks in advanced to anyone other there that can help.

Regards

Jamie

the sound is normal its known as the kawi tick and mine does the same thing. No worries unless its a loud obnoxious clacking sound.

Give your friend a severe beating if he wont pay up!!! I had my GF drop my bike and she paid to have it fixed and instead of taking that cash I just told her to give me money when I upgrade.

I have an 85 900ninja and I am was getting 200miles on a tank I just squeezed 4us gal in and had 199.6 miles on that tank, close enough to 50mpg

I was taking it real easy skipping gears on the way up, coasting to stops.

I may buy a sproket with an extra tooth. (front)

You probably want to go with either 10w40 or 20w50. I would go with 10w40 if it were me.

Default Ninja 600 starting issues

I have a Ninja ZX600. I rode it 10 miles, let it sit for 1 hour and when I returned it would not start. I push started it and rode back home. It sat in garage for 4 days, NOT on a battery charger. After 4 days it started just fine.

Battery tester shows 12.8 at rest. I start it, rev it up and battery tester goes up to 14.7, which I believe means it charges when it revs up. I disconnected battery cables and testing for ohms. No readings, which I believe means no leakage.

This has happened before. The last time, I rode it about 15 miles but it sat for about 8 hours and didn't start.

In spite of the voltage meter readings (which suggest the battery is fully charged), is this still a battery issue?

I also have a Ninja 500. I keep both on a drip charger throughout the year. I have never had any starting issues with the 500. I have replaced the 600 battery twice and the 500 zero times. I am wondering in addition to the starting issues, if there is some reason why I am only having problems with the 600

Default 94 zx9 with electronic fuel pump

When I bought my bike the guy told me it had a electronic fuel pump and carbs from a 1100. It runs great until I hit about 110mph and it starts bogging. and just doesn't want to go any faster. Is it starving for fuel? why would some one put carbs from an 1100.My gas milage is only about 35 to 40 mpg. Is it worth finding 900 carbs or just looking for a better fuel pump? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also about to do a clutch job for the first time anything special I should know?

Default engine will not restart after running for awhile. need help

i have a 99 zx6r and the bike starts up fine. After running the bike and the temp guage rises to 4 bars, if i turn off the bike, it wont restart till the temp guage drops to 3 bars. the fan comes on at 5 bars and i changed out the thermostat and it hasn't changed. Also, if i have a new battery in the bike, it will work and start fine for two months and then act up again. Can anyone help.

Default Chain and sprocket time!

Hi All,
Time for new sprockets and chain! So, RK vs. DID? 525 vs. 520? Would like to have some feedback on pros/cons of both for my 2002 ZX-9R.

TIA

Ok, I've got one for you guys. I have an 03 636, love the bike! My question-When I stop at stop signs, or not moving, when I try to shift down sometimes, nothing happens, the lever will go up and down, but wont engage, I can roll the bike foward/backward a little bit and then it will "engage" and shift down or up. This happens spradically, going down the ride this doesn happen. The bike has 15k on it, and I just changed the oil and filter. Is this normal, or whats up with it?
Thanks

I have an 05 ZXR6, planning to get a slip on exhaust, thinking of getting Yoshimura but my question is, will my FI light come on when i install slip on exhaust? Newbie question since ive heard some exhaust will turn the FI light on.

People with 05-06 ZXR6, what slip on exhaust do you recommend? Are these easy to install?

TIA!

Hey all, i'm looking at a 1999 ZX6-R for only $2500 with 10k miles. The bike is in great condition other than a small crack in the fairing. Is $2500 a good deal for this bike and year, and is there any widely-known problems with this year of bike? Thanks!
