Default 89 zx10 wheele/tire issues

i have a friend with a 89 zx10r and cant find tires for the bike no longer, is there eny other years wheeles he can get so he can get tires again

You can find tires for bikes like that... he is obviously jsut not looking in the right places... any dealer should do fine.

I found 66 tires that fit my "big brother".
Michelin Macadams, Pirelli also. Avon in England has fittment.

no o ne sells a 18" tire any more, thye all sell 17" tires. he has called places too see if he can even get tehm custom made but no oone will make them for him

They are 18" rears, not many, but some. Check some online moto tire stores.

Yes the 17" zx11c rear wheel will fit.But you have to machine the left spacer down 3mm and the right accentric 4mm to get it to center correctly

BattleAxe BT-010 or 020. Run them on my 90 all the time. Conti Road Attacks will fit too.

I think people are looking for real tires not touring tires and if that is the case go 17" because Michelin is the only half decent tire for 18" Tire worthy of road racing but only in a 160/60-17. If you change to a ZX11 wheel you can put a 180/60-17 with room to spare. A 190/55-17 will fit in fine, now that is a tire and alot of choices.
