Default Here's 4 things I did to my ZX-6 for less than 5 dollars, what da ya think?

1- Painted the inside of the windscreen gloss black

2- Painted the screws holding the windscreen

3- Cut the back part of the right side cover off to show off the Two-Bros a bite more. You won't want to do this with a stock exhaust.

4- Put rubber stoppers in the openings on both sides of the swingarm pivot and in the triple clamp.

Best $5 fix is recovering the seat with fabric of your choice.

How do you get new fab. on without it looking puckery, and what type did you use?

Looks good, you did a good job of matching the colors too... they look pretty darn close.

I have black patent leather on my 10R seat and before that black with silver glitter...It takes time...You need to remove the seat...Then get a staple gun (I had one) and do the top first and then do the bottom...Then do the sides...Every time stretching the fabric as tight as it can go.

There's a completely free fix you can do that I would recommend and that's relocating the rear brake resevoir up under the seat. Basically you unbolt the mount where it is, and unbolt the lower exhaust heatshield bolt, and pass the resevoir through the gap, and bolt it either the right side seat bolt or this smaller bolt right below it (either way you have to enlarge the hole in the bracket). Very much cleans up the rear of the bike.

going to have to try this one.

i painted the underside of my windshield too. i did it first on my blue bike when i got it and it looked sweet. but when i painted the windshield on the black bike it looked kind of goofy b/c it didn't match. i have an ebony 10r.
what color of black did you use and does it match?(brand of paint)

I also painted my ZR-7 wind screen a few years ago, all I remember is the paint was gloss. For my ZX-6 I headed to the finest store in the land (Wal-mart) and bought a can of "Mr Spray" gloss black $.99 I think it looks good.
