That sucks... surely they can't fix one problem just to cause a bunch more?!
I'd tell them the new problems and deliver an ultimatum - new bike or lawyers. When you pay that much money for something from a company like Kawasaki you should be able to have an expectation of the quality engineering for which they are renowned. |

Thats all i'm saying wow. I couldn't count how many horor stories on these 08 models i have heard. Ive always loved kawi being the under dog and all. But it 's starting to seem like they just setteled for third place and are happy with it. You do have to take everything with a grain of salt but thats enough to scare anyone away. They are giving these 08 models away for bargin basement prices besides the 250 that there treating like a rare diamond. Hmmm maybe because they lost there *** on some other models ?Owell i really hope kawi didn't become the ford of motorcycles. I see redemption in 09 lol. |

i was trying to say that the guys at the dealership took it out and beat it. i under stand KAW had nothing to do with it .but on the other hand i have never had this kind of problem with any other bike that i have had.that includes a couple of KAwi and most of them were new.and the manufacture could not give me a sure answer for what the problem is or for now was .

Well as infuriating as it must be, I can say that the best thing to do at this point is likely call an attorney. A free consultation and they will tell you what to expect. I would do that before I started railing anyone. At least, they should give you a new bike I think. At most, they should offer the price of the bike against another bike they have. After that experience with the Kawi, I would be inclined to ask them for the $10K or whatever towards a gixxer, CBR, or R1 or something.
Sorry all this happened to you man. That truly does suck. As happy as I am with my bike, I can only imagine how I would feel having had problems like this. Maybe a Z14? Aren't they about the same retail price now? And my understanding is they have nothing really new for this year that might break? Of course, it's not the same animal at all. Haven't ridden the gixxer, but I can speak for the Honda. Some think it's ugly, but if they had been willing to deal on financing, I would most likely be on a CBR forum right now. lol Take care, Robert

there are plenty of bad dealerships out there, I have worked for a couple of the worse in the area but even then most of it wasn't the mechanics. the service department usually has their hands tied by the owners. I worked at one dealer that would send special tools back so he wouldn't have to pay for them. anther that screwed the mechanics on the labor on most tickets and wouldn't provide simple things like distilled water to refill batteries. owners wanting to pay as little as they can, hiring high school dropouts for setup at $7/hr. there has to be a good dealership in your area. do some research, call the BBB to see if there are or has been any complaints against the dealerships or what the complaints were. we had a customer want a mechanic fired because the mechanic didn't detail the bike after he worked on it, the thing looked like it hadn't been washed for a couple weeks. |
