Default Mirrors on a 500R

I've had two Ninja 500's over the years and one thing that I've dislike over the years (one of the few things) is the mirrors.
My wife and I have bought a new Ninja 650R and were looking at the mirrors and they look like they would fit on the 500 that we have. Has anyone tried this and how well does it work.
Thanks in advance.

Never tired it, but they usually just have the two screws that mount onto the fairing. The only problem might be the indentation on the fairing... it could and probably is different.

Yeah the mirrors are pretty bad. Here is a link to what I did to make mine better. They are home-made extenders for the stock mirrors using the some hardware from the local Ace store. I know it looks bad, but they work!

$5 mirror extenders (Gen 2)

I am always having to pull an elbow in to look in my mirrors for what is behind me.

You should take one off of the 650 and see if it fits and let us know.

Do they keep you from looking at the elbows in the mirrors?

The whole "looking at the elbows" thing is very common with all sportbikes. I doubt the 650R mirrors will correct that.

When I rode Cruisers it was usually just a little shoulder in the mirror but not as bad as the elbows. I guess I am going to have to look into getting some extenders so I know what is behind me. I get tired of having to pull an arm in to see what's there.

Yes they do.. From what I`m told they are 2" longer then the stock 500 mirrors.
