Hi all
I have always liked the simulators, my fav was the flight simulator when I was in the US Air Force when back then, it used to be a whole building and just awesome. Since we are entering the winter soon, it would be somewhat hard not to be able to ride as much. I have been thinking of putting up one of my bikes in a chok with the ties to keep it upright and nice solid, mount and practice moving butt from side to side as though I were on the track. All this has been made possible in my garage but I want to add a little bit of reality, if possible: Does anyone know how to raise the back end a bit off the ground so that the bike's rear wheel would spin, shift etc. without compromising stability. There has got to be some device to be able to do this. Of course, I am not going to delve into this hastily and without proper guidance and safety considerations. I have planned to put up a larger screen TV in the front to play things of interest. All this will be inside my garage with proper heating equipment. I have heard of something like this but much more sophisticated such that it would even allow one to lean left and right, measure data with computer hook ups etc. On another note, I found some real old Stabil in my garage; It may need fresh Stabil. does anyone have an opinion? Best, Mike |

It also would not countersteer and react to cornering the same with only one "gyro" spinning.

Guys, chill; it is an idea; there has got to be something out there to be able to ride in your garage when the outside is six feet under the snow!
Best, Mike P.S. Frankly, i'd like to be able to watch the Playboy chanell while "riding" in the garage! |

It is interesting to hear this because earlier today, a guy from PA informed me that in some places down south, people have their bikes stowed away in their garages because it is so hot hot hot there!
I know that theres a bike simulator out there but only in the hands of those acedemicians sposored by the big bike companies for R n D and not for the common man. It will come and come it will soon. Screw them all cuz i'm spending my winter in Amsterdam, lol Best, Mike |

Play Tourist Trophy on PS2/3. It's cheaper and you get to ride all kinds of nice bikes.

This gismo really looks like a modern pap smear machine, at first impression. The only thing it does not have are the srirups! Something like this i'd think your local mall may have (preferably in a cage!).
I was referring to a motorcycle SIMULATOR, not a hospital gurney converted into what looks like a go-cart! Any VR experts here? Now, thats a thought. |
