i have a 2001 ZX9r, and i need to get a cover. i store my bike outdoors, and out in a parking lot, no shed or roof over it.
so i need something that is 100% water proof and wont let the morning dew seep threw it. anyone know where i should look? |

denniskirk.com, and about 1,987,987 other places online.
Price is relevant to quality. High end camping store might have some cast offs that are weatherproof.

The water from dew still gets under the cover and then forms water vapor. I would always have to wipe the seat down in the morning after taking the cover off. You're going to find rust in places you didn't know existed. |

buy a cover then also use a tarp, most covers are used to breath so when water sits on them they tend to soak water in and get stuff wet. I used to often just use a cover when my garage was full and i was going to use the bike the next day, but any sort of rain always found a way to get my covered bike wet.

A good, modern cover will protect a bike fine. I've never had dew on my bike unless I actually forgot to cover it. No rust or oxidation of any sort. The only issue I have is the wind can blow crud onto the brake disc and it squeaks for the first few stops. Last edited by CTRider : 10-12-2008 at 04:21 PM. |

Like I said: leaving a bike out in inclement weather is cruel and unusual punishment. |
