Default where to get a good bike cover?

i have a 2001 ZX9r, and i need to get a cover. i store my bike outdoors, and out in a parking lot, no shed or roof over it.

so i need something that is 100% water proof and wont let the morning dew seep threw it.

anyone know where i should look?

denniskirk.com, and about 1,987,987 other places online.

Price is relevant to quality. High end camping store might have some cast offs that are weatherproof.

I agree with the price is relative to quality... that it one of those things that you can't get a good one cheap.. If you think you found a deal, you probably didn't!

check your local auto parts store...they will be cheaper than a dealer but still good quality

Covers are fine, but storing a bike outside in inclement weather is a good way to ruin it. Ask me how I know...

The water from dew still gets under the cover and then forms water vapor. I would always have to wipe the seat down in the morning after taking the cover off. You're going to find rust in places you didn't know existed.

buy a cover then also use a tarp, most covers are used to breath so when water sits on them they tend to soak water in and get stuff wet. I used to often just use a cover when my garage was full and i was going to use the bike the next day, but any sort of rain always found a way to get my covered bike wet.

You didn't get the right kind of cover for outdoor use, then. Some covers are merely dust covers that repel a bit of rain. They don't actually protect from the weather. You have to get one that specfically protects from the elements.

A good, modern cover will protect a bike fine. I've never had dew on my bike unless I actually forgot to cover it. No rust or oxidation of any sort. The only issue I have is the wind can blow crud onto the brake disc and it squeaks for the first few stops.

I got the most expensive "breathable canvas" cover on the market at the time.

Like I said: leaving a bike out in inclement weather is cruel and unusual punishment.
