Default Did I get a good price $4750.00 ? **NEXT BIKE CHOICE**

I just sold my 2004 zx636 couple days ago, and got like $4750 for it, the title was rebuild bcuz it was dropped on the left side, and the engine cover was scrached, so I painted over it, and you wont see a thing, the bike looked cleanest of clean, new aftermarket fearings, etc... so you guys think I got good price for it? I m looking forward on getting Ducati 848, any suggestions and cheaper prices I can find it for?.. Thanks

Kelly Blue Book for my zip (94306) lists trade-in value at $3770 and retail value at $5480. So I think you did alright.

For scratch they gave a rebuild? $5k was better. No on the 848...Gixxer 750 walks that thing. 10R is better choice.

The Duc is a nice bike, I like them myself. If you are considering something other than a Kawi.. take a look at the Triumph Daytona 675. It is a well sorted out bike and always does good in the comparo tests. A good friend of mine has a dark green one, and like I said...nice bike.

In this market that is an amazing price!!! I bought my 2006 ZX636 for $4200 2 weeks back! Has a few scratches but it still has a clean title, Yoshi exhaust and aftermarket windshield etc. I'll say that you hit the jack pot for a rebuilt bike.

Bikes must be super cheap in Portland - I got my '03 636 for $4700.00 and that was pretty decent!

Technically riding season has come to an end and with the economy as it is, lot of people don't have about 5K to spare. There are a lot of bikes here trying to sell for 5.5K to 6K but they have been on the market for almost 2 months (just what I see from Craigslist). 4700 for an 03 is a little on the higher side if you bought it just now, but during peak summer that was a good price...you know what I mean. As for the OP getting 4750 for an 04 with a branded title is a very good price if he sold it just recently.

I think you should go with the ZX-10 instead. Better performance.

it's not just that I m trying to stay away from Kawasaki, I just wan't to try something different, or something bigger... abt the Triumph, how reliable are they? R they better handling than Kaw? can I copmpare them to R6? , cuz they look low on prices, and 675cc, I want something over at least 700cc

It's not what i got, but that's exactly what I would get. All blacked out. I love all black bikes. That exhaust is sickening! It's $500.

I have a Black 900 Custom with Black lenses, 230 tire, and chrome over the black for the nice contrast.

But, I'm lookin to get a zx-10r in a couple years... this is what I would get.

Plus I would cut off that gross license plate sh*t. I'd make that thing nice and clean lookin.

abt the license plate sh*t, you don't have to cut it off, I think it's unscrewable, and than u can just put on integrated license plate with blinkers.. btw never heard cruiser goes back to sporties, usually it's other way around or U mean u gonna keep both bikes?

somewhere around in a month, or when it gets cold and nobody even will be thinking on buying a bike, so I can get it cheaper for next sunny days

What's wrong with having both a cruiser and a sportie?

I like having a cruiser though... it's relaxing and fun.

But a sports bike would be a blast to have!

So are you really thinking on getting something other than a Kawi?
