    Default zx6r vs zx10r

    pro's and con's to these bikes, well i own the 05zx6r, there are no cons cept for theres not enough power for me, zx10r owners please tell me any cons on the 10 please before i purchase it, i figure i dont lose anything by selling my zx6r and getting the zx10r, its basically the same thing cept for i gain more power by going wiff the 10r, weight difference between them is 12 pounds, zx6r 362 and the 10r is 374, so anything else different? or any reason why i shouldnt jump up to the 10r? ive been riding for many years now, owned a 03 gsxr 1000(stolen), so the power change isnt a problem, i bought the 6r because they was saying how fun it was to ride dont get me wrong, it is fun to ride and its a perfect machine, its just not enough power for me thats all, thoughts you guys?

    If 110hp is good then 180hp is better . Actually I'm having a hard time deciding between the 2 also jblaze. I love my 600 race bike. My 900 has got plenty of power its just too fat. My riding buddies tell me to get the 1000 for the street. Its tempting... It'll be an 06 model of one of them when I do get one though. Would be nice to find a place to test ride them both. I'm not so interested in the power of the 1000 as I am how they each feel. The big difference between the 2 is going to be insurance prices though.

    I know what you mean though on the power. I've riden my buddies CBR600RR. Its a great bike, but to get the same feeling that I get when I twist the throttle on my 900 you have to change out the gearing and lower the top speed. That I'm not totaly against anyway. Cause I realise there isn't any point in going 100+ mph. Its not leagle and not worth it. I try to take out my really nasty bike agression on the track .

    ionno, i just feel like theres a lag time between 5k rpm to about 9 or 10k rpms, now if kawi brought back the 7 that would be great, cause thatll be all i would need for all around riding

    In any gear but 1st you're not going to be pulling anywhere near peak power before 10k RPM on a 600. I will tell you this though... If you really are looking at the ZX-10R I know it pulls solid through the entire power band. Its the only 1000 right now that really does. The only other one that comes close is the GSXR1000 and it has a little bit of an issue with the lower RPMs.

    ive actually been thinkin about unloading after this summer my 600r and letting my buddy take over the paymentes on it for the loan, and try to find me a late 90's ZX9R. I dont even want the ZX9R for insane top end rush but just want something with a little more torque and little less revs to make power.

    I made my decision to buy the 10R the minute I sat on it. Awesome bike.

    Second I have this loan payed off (2 more years) , I am selling and buying a 10r. Have fun beating up on Busas .
