Sold...on to something new...

Although I liked my old ninja I had two deals that I couldn't pass up.

I sold my 92 zx600r on friday after finishing rebuilding it for $1,600. Next day I picked up a 1997 Theft Recovery Honda VFR 750 with 24k miles for a steal of a price of $1,300. Absolutely no mechanical problems and just needs a new clutch and some fairing work.

The person who stole it thrashed the clutch some how, some of the friction plates were metal to metal.

Got a new Barnett complete clutch kit coming for $150 and working on trying to repair the fairings until I can find a good deal on some new ones.

Some pics of the VFR. Got some work to do on it still.

This is what i found when I got the clutches out

Found a good deal on a COMPLETE(springs, gasket, friction and metal plates) Barnett clutch set for $150 so I am just waiting on that.

Got most of the cracks repaired on the fairing, not I just seen to do a little fiberglas/bondo work and touch up the paint.

amazing deal for $1300, and some effort. how the devil do you toast a clutch just by stealing it though? seriously, unless you CANNOT work a manual transmission well, that just makes no sense.

great bike though. I wish I could get one.
