How far do you travel in one day?

Today I rode with stepson to Davenport and Rock Island . We went to 2 Casino's ,Because he just turned 21. He had to see . It was 150 miles each way. Nice day, good ride .We were only gone from 9:30 in the morning to 4:00 in afternoon . we had to be back at the house . We had a big ol' Casino Buffet breakfast with 10 deserts.

I'm good for about two hours before I need a 5 min break but then again I tour on a sport bike. (that sentence just screams I need a sport touring bike!) I'm sure if I had a Vulcan or a goldwing I could go all day.

You should consider a Concours. Best of both worlds, sport and touring bike. I just bought a 1998 with low miles and love it! Great thru the twisties and I can do a 550 mile day and still be able to function after I get off of it for the day.

My last trip I did 4000 miles in 5 days. Most of the time I like to keep it around 650 to 750 in a day. That is only if I have to get some place. I think that the ideal would be around 450 to 550. It gives you enough time to stop and look at a few things along the way. 99% of my riding is done solo.
