09 Voyager Heat Question

Just picked up an 09 voyager, and was wondering if putting new pipes and a PCV on it would cool it down some. I added a PCIII to my 1500 classic to clear some low rpm engine knock and definitely think it cooled the engine a little with the richer mix.

I was stuck in traffic on a cool 65-70 degree cloudy day near the ocean and I was actually sweating, the temp gauge was around 80%. Once I started moving again the heat issue was gone. I am going to talk to the local dealership, bought the bike ~250 miles away, to see if I can get them to do the heat mods if I don't get new pipes

Do you know if the newer shielding was done to the exhaust? I've heard of some people wrapping the exhaust to get rid of some of the heat.

Yea unfortunatly that seems to be a more than common complaint about the Voyagers. I talked to a fellow a couple months back and he said it was so bad his wife didnt hardly ride with him.
