Do any of you know just what the differences in the CA. spec model are and how they might effect performance. Are they only emmisions related changes? Waiting on delivery here in Des Plaines, IL. and just saw this on the Kawasaki site. Think I'll call my dealer tomorrow and see if they have any control over this.
CJ "NOTE: Even if you did not purchase your vehicle in California, you may have a California (CA) Spec model. To ensure that you are able to select the correct parts for your vehicle, you must know whether your vehicle is a California (CA) spec or 49-State (US) spec model. Look at your warranty registration card; if the model code ends with 'L' you have a California spec vehicle. To go directly to the correct parts list for your vehicle, you may enter your Vehicle Identification Number on the Vehicle Information screen. " |

Thanks GPZ
Although i haven’t registered with cog i have lurked at that site on and off. After many years of riding old Kaw's: KZ's: '82 550, '80 1000 and others '83 spectre 550, '83 spectre 1100 etc. I have broken down (or gotten wise!!) and purchased the C14, now if only my dealer would get it to me asap. Though it is pouring rain in Chicago tonight I would gladly get wet to welcome the new addition to my stable. Perhaps tomorrow will bring that magical call letting me know I can come pick up the ‘other woman’! |
