Default Voyager passenger radio control

I have a question regarding the Voyager passenger radio control mechanism. I would like to mount it to my 87 Voyager and have found where to plug the wiring in, but cannot figure out how or where to mount the unit to the bike. It looks to me like one has to drill a hole somewhere in the trunk to mount the unit.

Am I correct on this or is there some other easier way to mount the unit to the bike? Also, when the passenger controls the volume, does it just control the volume to her headset or to both hers and mine?

Thanks to everyone for their help on this one.

Jeff

it bolts up under the passenger backrest under the left arm rest bump on the backrest. it is held by one screw that holds a clamp that pinches the heavy u shaped wire that hooks to the passenger radio control unit. look for some Velcro that holds a boot that goes around the control unit for protection when not in use. the passenger control unit does the same adjustment as the drivers unit they both control the drivers and passengers volume as one. hope that helps. It sounds clear as mud. JIM

hey Jeff just came back from a thee day road trip with the wife and the only time she uses the passenger control is to talk on the CB radio , a lot of riders take them off to keep them out of the way. If you want to control the volume in one headset to be louder then the other you must buy a in line volume control to turn down the louder headset, the in line control does not amplify. I got mine from NEAL at Motorcycle Products, Wireless Bluetooth, Headsets, Nolan, HGC, Helmets, Seats, CB Radio he is the voyager guru Just my 2 cents JIM
