Default Short Ride, or was it a short week?

Made a quick trip to Salt Lake City, and back. Left Paris, Ky Sunday morning, ate lunch in Salt Lake City on Monday 1734 miles. Worked on my bike most of the afternoon and early evening at an acquaintances' house( I hate hydraulic clutches), left around lunch time on Tuesday for home. Lollygagged around, riding roads into the mountains and canyons and did not make much for mileage on Tuesday, made it home before supper Thursday. 3400 miles round trip Wish i could go again next week!

Came out for the KTM dealer show, ended up working on my bike most of Monday afternoon and early evening at a friends house just south of town. He and I bled the clutch several times and several pints of fluid before it cleared up and was solid again. He then took me out to the canyons on the east side of15. Man that sure is pretty country.
On the way home I detoured off at Chalk Creek and went across the open range and into Wyoming.

Camera does that a severe injustice. It is so big and so pretty you feel like you could just reach out around the windshield and touch it. i cannot for the life of me tonight remember what the name of that canyon is, just the other side of there.

That looks like you're almost to big cottonwood or little cottonwood canyon, but not sure, or is that going up I-80 towards Park City? That canyon is Parleys Canyon.

Cottonwood. Don't know if it is "big" or "little" since I was never told the difference. The first pic is going south/east on 215 down the big hill to the getoff to go to Cottonwood Canyon. Don't remember the name of the exit or the road, i was following a friend who lives near South Ridge park area, off of 4700
Dang I wish I had the time to ride more while I was out there. I was only there for 28 hours, 8 of which I worked on my bike, and 4 of which i was at the KTM dealer show at the convention center

Is there a KTM dealer anywhere in utah? I was curious about them before I bought my c14 but couldn't find any. Or was it just a convention at the SLC Convention center?

Wow. What a ride !! There are a lot of people who call themselves bikers that don't go that far in a year. You must have an iron constitution. How many hours per day were you riding? I rode home from Daytona in 19 hours and it took days for my body to recover.

We rode all but the last 300 miles in one step, stopped for 5 hours to nap and shower, and still rode it in under32 hours.
You, riding Daytona to New York were doing some high stepping of your own! I used to run that part of the world some when I was trucking and know the mileage is no where near the factor that the traffic is.
