Little background.
I have an 08 900LT. Participated in my first group ride last week. Took the oldest boy with me on the ride. I am now looking to replace the stock passenger footpegs with floorboards. This brings two questions: 1) Do you have any suggestions, product recommendations, horror stories, or whatever on that? 2) Does anyone know how to get melted and baked-on boot heel rubber off of your pipes? Thank you ever so much, Ed

Well I have the Kuryakyn Passenger Footboards. The wife loves them.
Look at this thread, I got them through BTK: http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...00-market.html Quote:

to get the melted boots off of the pipes.........make sure the pipes are cold, and spray the marks with easy off oven cleaner, let it sit on them over night and wipe them off in the morning.

I went with the Cobra Swept boards because in addition to comfort, they look great when stored in the 'up' position. Put mine on before I even licensed the bike, never regretted it as most of my riding is with a passenger.

The Cobras look great and are pretty expensive. I used the Kuryaken Mini Wings, they are smaller but still work as a floorboard, they do require an adaptor.
currently $89.99 Kuryakyn ISO®-Wing Mini Floorboard - Male Mount - Pair for Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT Adaptors $19.96 Kuryakyn Standard Footpeg Adapters (sold in pairs) - Vulcans for Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT Because the 900 pegs fold towards the rear instead of straight up, you mount them backwards so they will fold up on the exhaust side. They also match the popular Kury driver floorboard covers. If you get them, throw away the spacers they give you and replace with 4 spring washers available at any hardware for about $.50/each.
