Default Need help deciding on a jacket

No, not for me, but the gf. I was wondering if you lovely ladies had any input that you would be willing to share. I let her go through the joe rocket catalog since that is the brand I use and like, but am open to other suggestions if you have them. She was able to narrow it down to the Lotus 2.0, and the Alter Ego 2.0 Do any of you use these jackets? Like them?

Also, she falls right on the small/medium line using this chart
Joe Rocket Sizing Chart :: New Enough, LTD

so is there any way that we should go as far as sizing is concerned. She wanted to go for a medium because she thinks that would be more comfortable for her, but I thought that she should go for the small as the tighter jacket would better protect her in the event that we go down on my bike since it would move around less and conform to her body better. Thoughts?

Thank you

I have a Joe Rocket jacket and they tend to run a little small. I'd go with the medium. That way, if the weather is cooler, she can still have room to put on a heavier shirt under it and it won't be too tight. Mine is a women's medium - shorty full textile and it's a little snug. It's not comfortable with a thicker shirt underneath. I'm 5'6" and 145 lbs.

The Fieldsheers run a little big, though. I have 2 of them and they fit a little bigger, even though they are also mediums. One is a cold-weather long textile, the other is a shorter mesh.

If she can try one on at a dealer, that might help too.
