Hi and welcome to the forum Mistress Cruiser The Eliminators are nice bikes. You may also want to look at the Vulcan 500 too. Don't forget to take the MSF course!

Thanks Ninjagirl for introducing me to this site.

Happy riding.
Yea I was getting tired of riding on that back too. LOL
Welcome.

Talking New Rider, taking it slow, Hi to everyone!!

Well it has been about a month since I purchased my bike. I am taking it slow. Taking lessons, got all of my gear, and signed up for my MSF class. I bought a 2004 Bright yellow Ninja EX 250R. It is perfect for me. I am 5'1" so I won't fit on many other sportbikes. I am almost ready to take her out on the road. Can't wait to ride by myself to work. Anyone on the eastern seaboard, hit me up and maybe we can get together for a ride, don't know any other chics that ride. I'm in Northern Dealware, near Philly, Wilmington, The Beaches and NJ.

Cool!!! I am only 5'1 also. I took the MSF course. That was the first time I sat on a bike all by myself. They use nice small cruiser type bikes. So us short people can reach. LOL. You will learn a lot. Its the best money I ever
spent.

Hi, Jamie! Welcome to the forums! I missed out on a yellow 02 250 by that >< much. Ended up with an Ebony 05 instead (I hate silver). Kudos on signing up for the MSF course, you'll have a blast.

No offense, but the 05 color schemes are not that great. The only one I really like is the black and green, and I am not too crazy about it either. I was going to get the 05 and have it painted, but I found my 250 with 1300 miles for only $2,000. So I ******ed it up and haven't looked back.

I hope Kawasaki rethinks their colors for 06 and 07.

I actually liked the blue/orange color scheme in person once I saw it. On the website, it looks terrible. But no offense taken. I really didn't care about the color of the bike, but I figured if I was ending up buying new, I wanted a color I could live with (for a little while) and I really dislike silver vehicles (which was my other color option besides black at the time.)

Hope I can swing an 05 ZZR-600 though...the 06 is silver

I totally agree with the blue and yellow. It is definately my favorite scheme. I almost bought one but it was 5 hours away. To far to pick up.

I know you didn't have much to choose from. Silver or black, that is it for the 05's. This is what I mean. What was Kawa thinking?

Actually I didn't think I would like the yellow until I saw it in person and it was sweet. Now I'm in love. But would still prefer the blue/yellow anyday!!

I see under everyones username a little blip about their riding skills. How do I edit that info. I saw a few peoples change and for the life of me can't find how to change the setting.

Thanks

The little blip under our usernames isn't our riding skills, it has to do with how many posts you have made to the forum. I think mine still says "Turtle Wax Taster"; the forum moderators are silly

If they wouldn't have had the black and green one I would have waited till next year to get the bike. It's the only color scheme that looks good for 05.I had to wait 4 weeks to get this one.
See.....

Well on went on my first REAL ride yesterday. I did good too!! Well if you've been reading, you know that I've been riding around my boyfriends development for weeks now and have been dying to get on the road. The b/f (my instructor) said I wasn't ready. But I thought I was. Plus he hasn't gone out with me the past few times, so he didn't know how I had improved. So he reluctently agreed to go with me, but said if I couldn't perform, we were turning around. WE DIDN'T TURN AROUND!!!!!!!! He told me I did good. I am officially addicted and want to ride every chance I have. I love the power and the pride of being a women on a sportbike. Just wanted to share my happy moment, yeah-me!!
