Default Hi!

Hello Girls,

In 2007 I told my husband that when our 93 Toyota breaks down I was going to buy a bike... two months later I bought a Ninja zx 6r =) I have only been riding for 2 years as much as possible. I decided today I'm going to do my own oil changes because I'm tired of paying someone else to do it and the videos look so easy. I"m currently searching for a bike stand.

About me, I'm 24 right now. I live in Orlando, FL. I have never been to bike week in Daytona because my husband and I aren't big drinkers. I am not in modifying my bike yet because I want to learn more about how it works before making any changes. I work for a credit card company (collections side) as a Team Manager and I'm getting my MBA from UOP.

I am big on my Lancer Evolution. My husband and I got into an EVO in 05 and absolutely fell in love with the need for speed. We've cooled down for a while because it's expensive but so worth the smile & adrenaline.

Look forward to sharing experiences and learning more.

welcome Just take it easy on yourself, remember all the little pointers your instructor taught you. I realized over time that he really did tell me all that stuff for a reason My words of advice...wear your gear, even if you think it is hot or not cute or whatever...road rash is much worse to deal with and look at. You will do great!

I also wanted to plan some sort of a bike trip across the states or some other exciting place. I know of a small group that rented and transported some sort of dirt bike down to south America and biked for two weeks, visiting various places. I think Costa Rica also has some cool bike expeditions or just even to the grand canyon for a picture in front of it with the bike If anyone ever really wants to plan a trip I am in. Maybe we could even plot courses that give us friendly couches to crash on along the way.

we ride around the bay, start like at knuckleheads and ride down and around to padre island, onto mustang island up to port a, stop for a lunch break or snack (if desires) then over the ferry and up thru rockport and then down thru portland and over the bridge by the lex and back to start....

When do you usually ride? During the week or only on weekends?

Red face

Hello,
My boyfriend told me about this website. I have a 2008 FZ1 my third bike. I just started to ride again and it is great when you have the right fitting bike. I'm retired Air Force and I work for a contractor for Fed Ex. I guess I like to drive. I find it a challenge. I have two kids and I'm gona be a Memaw soon. My boyfriend has been my inspiration to ride. I just love it when we ride together. I was reading the "stupid questions people ask you"...all of it happens. I get it all the time with being a Fed ex driver too, oh yea and when I was military. So I guess I just ignore most people.

Hello, My name is Marsha, I am married with 2 grown and 1 almost grown girls. My husband bought me a Kawasaki Eliminator 600 to learn to ride on a couple of weeks ago and you would not believe how excited I was to take my first solo. I love the motorcycle and it sits low enough that I feel very stable and have no problem starting or staying on the bike. I am having a little trouble learning to use the hand brake and foot brake though. Maybe with more practice I will get comfortable with that too.

The way I understand it, in Texas, you have to take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's (MSF) course before you can get a motorcylce endorsement on your drivers license. I believe once you take the course, all you will have to do at the DPS is to take the written exam. I will be taking that course as soon as I feel I am comfortable with the motorcylce. But in the meantime, I am having a blast learning.

my name is Charlene.I live in Ontario,Canada.I'm married with 2 teenage daughters.I work for a small company that makes jams& marmalades.I bought my first bike a Honda Rebel 250 in 1986 rode it for a few years.I gave up riding for marriage and a couple of kids. This year I got bitten by the bike bug again so I bought a 2009 Vulcan 500LTD.I was a little nervous as I haven't ridin in over 20 years,I am getting more confidant everytime I ride.Cornering still makes me nervous and sometimes my shifting is a little shakey.I've had the bike for a month now and have put over 300km on it so far.I hope to put on a few more before I have to put it to bed for the winter. My hubby doesn't ride yet but is planning on taking a riding course this spring.

My name is Sandra and I live in Northwestern Indiana.(land of corn and dairy cows) I have only been riding for about three years. My late boyfriend was my teacher and after passing my ABATE riding course, he turned over his keys to his 2006 Suzuki C50 Boulevard to me and said have fun! After passing away unexpectedly this past February his family took the keys back and sold his bike. I was determined to keep riding in his honor so in May I drove to Virginia and picked up my 2001 1500 Kawasaki Drifter! I had my daughter drive my truck and I rode my new best friend home 620 miles! 4000 miles later and no regrets. With my mans picture in my pocket, close to my heart, we ride. He opened my eyes to a great big world of motorcycling and there will be no turning back!

Way cool story Annie. Welcome.

The bike is beautiful! Consider doing the rectifier relocation to it?

Way ahead of you! I just finished moving it to the front (outa sight, outa mind) I put a leather tool bag in it's place. If it would stop raining here long enough I could take it out of the garage and get some updated pictures taken. I have been doing all of my own leather work for this bike so it is keeping me occupied! Also in my spare time, I love to paint. My newest inspiration is motorcycles (surprise!) I will post them in a little while so you can see what they look like.
