I have an 07 TruRed Ninja 650. Although when I tell my friends I ride, the first question is always, "do you ride a Harley?" No offense to HD, some of my best friends ride them, but why does everyone automatically assume all motorcyclists ride HDs?
I love mine so much I've decked her out with her own luggage. After all, don't all ladies need a good handbag? ![]()

I am the proud owner of a new 09 Ninja 650r - Passion Red. I had an older Honda 600 F2 - my starter bike. My husband was riding a gixxer 600 at the time so I went sportbike as well. I like the more upright seating on the 650r though.
I get too nervous to ever try a really tight u-turn on my bikes - I was able to do it in the MSF class, but haven't worked up the courage to try it with a bigger bike. |

We're about to ride 2,700 miles on our sport bikes. I can't imagine doing it on a cruiser, but I'll report back when we return!

He wrecked it? Geez, how come you let him ride it if he was going to do that?

I'm a little ninja lover but that is because I am short and without lowering the bike, it is the only sport bike i can ride right now. But I learned on a cruiser for a year before I got the ninja 250. Fortunately, I still have both of them - not ready to let go of my starter bike. But After riding both - I say SPORT BIKE ALL THE WAY. LOVE IT !!!

We have considered buying it, but I'm torn. I love the power of the 600 more, but I have better control & can do more stuff on the 250. I'm really little (5'2 & less than 110 lbs) so everyone else just thinks the 250 is perfect for me. What to do, what to do?!?!

Sounds like a tough choice. Glad I don't have to make it. But if you're asking, I'd say go for the 250. Ride it around and enjoy it, all the while looking for something else that you like can be easily modified (lowered) to fit your petite frame.
