Default Is kaw 900 too big for me?

Hi, I drove a honda 900 before, in 1981...yap many moons ago. I just decided to ride again this summer. Kids are older now...time for mommy to have a good time. I have been shopping for a bike for the last couple weeks. I am only 5,2. I love the look of the kaw 900 but when I sat on one, I found the seat verry wide. My feet are touching the ground but not the heels... I would need an extra inch. Would you know if I can change a seat for a narrower one? Any advice for me. I dont want to buy to small because I want to travel...do a lots of highway. I am new here by the way....My name is Louise. I am 44 and I live in Ontario, Canada.

It is possible to lower the 900 series; you might want to look into that. Do a quick search on the forum for "lowering kits"!

Welcome back to the fun side of life!

The 900 should be just fine for you. Like it has been said, you can lower the 900s. Also, there are a couple different after market seats. Maybe some of them are narrower or sit a little lower. I don't know. I don't have personal experience with anything but the stocker. Do a little research here on the forum and I'm sure you'll find some reviews on seats.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

If you can stand it up off the side stand it's not too big.

Hi Jared,
Thank you for your advice, I ll look into it. How do you like your Vulcan? Tell me why you pick this one....give me some pros that can help me to justify the price to my boyfriend... He just bought a Suzuki 800 and he paid 9200.00 out the door. They want a thousand more for the kawa...personnally, it s the look that I like better...
