With lowering the cbr, u give up some rear travel amd will need to lower the forks some, but you ar also lighter in weight than the ave man, and so the suspension isnt working as much weight or as hard, My wifes CBR is dialed in and no probs whatsoever

The heck with what everyone else says, get a 250. I just bought my first bike, and 05 Ninja 250. It's perfect for my size(5'4")It weighs probably about 350lbs. I would imagine a 600 is much heavier. I have a hard time moving my hubby's Yamaha around, and it weighs about 500lbs. I suggest starting out with something smaller, get comfortable, your less likely to hurt yourself with a smaller bike, you can always upgrade later, the resale value on a 250 is also good, they don't drop much in price. I would highly recommend the 250 to start off with!
