Default Chrome Cleaner

Ok folks, something has dripped on to my exhaust. I think it
was done during being serviced. I can not get it to come off
with a wet cloth. I am not sure what it is either. Any suggestions
for this problem?

Thanks!

I use Meguiars Chrome polish for general polishing. For cleaning, it depends on the substance as to what I'll use. Sometimes a little WD-40 will do the trick. Other times, a little bit of non-scratching scrubbie pad is called for.

Try coca cola and aluminum foil. Not sure if I got the idea from here or somewhere else but it worked on mine. Just get the pipes hot and pour some coke on the area and swipe it with the foil. Worked for me.

I haven't tried this but heard that it works. Apply EasyOff Cold oven cleaner to cold pipes and let sit overnight. Wipe off next day.

I used this to get melted rubber of the chrome and it worked like a charm. I let it sit for about 3 hours before wiping off.

Interesting, but won't the aluminum foil scratch the chrome ?

Didnt scratch mine. Just fold it up smooth and swipe it across the pipe. Anything burnt on is coming off. Just make sure the pipes are hot and be careful.
