Regular JB weld will. I don't think the "quick weld" stuff does, though, nor is the quick stuff heat resistant.

I watched the bf paint the new-to-me tank, put it back on, along with the fairings, turn signals, & windscreen. It now runs! (Thanks Mark for the work & A-J for the tank!) He put a little bit of gas in it & then rode it to the gas station to top it! If the weather holds up I'll be back on it in a couple days! =]

Easy Off oven cleaner does pretty good on melted boot marks on exhaust.

Nope, chrome seemed to hold up just fine. it was recommended to me at one of the bike shops, so I figure it's widely used.

Well, on Friday I rode to work, 25 mi of freeways each way, but it was the last Friday of DST. Saturday rode down to to the boat to meet the broker who's selling it for me, but he no-shows, and my sailing buddies all cancelled out, so I get a good ride home. On Sunday, a little spit and polish, and a cage trip to the hardware store to look for raw materials for a project I'm kicking around, but came home empty-handed, then my son calls, my Grandson is runnig a temperature and they won't be coming for spaghetti dinner. Darn, I showered and everything, but oh, well, got a nice ride in our beautiful SoCal weather.

I drilled out most of the evil exhaust pipe bolt that broke off when the previous owner rode it into a parked car. Next comes the helicoil, and so on... IT WILL LIVE AGAIN!

Looked at it on the way through the garage, mumbled to myself about how nice riding it to work would have been today

I patched an engine block on my 1953 tractor recently. The damage was right next to the exhaust manifold, so I was concerned about heat, and found an alternative to JB weld. Its called High Temperature Repairs PC Fahrenheit-Paintz Ltd. No I don't work for them,, but its held now for about two months in that application, I recently (about a month ago found that I had a hole in the gas tank on my chipper.shredder, adn having nothing else to use and having a bit of the product left I drained the tank, cleaned it down to bare metal with lots of deep scratches to fige the stuff something to grip to, cit off a 1/4" of it, mixed and applied, It claims that you can use what ever you fixed within 6 hours, but i waited 24, and have run the chipper extensivle, and the patch is holding just fine.. so far,, It wont be much loss it the patch does fail, as the chipper is 25 years old,, and due for replacement..
