![]() ![]() I don't know what they were thinking when they did that scheme unless they were trying to transition over to this new bike. I mean, how do you go from solid black in '07 to solid white in '08 to that mess in '09 unless they were tryting to get us acquainted to the new bike?

Not sure I really like this new Z. Maybe if they did a tourer version, like you said, that would help. |

I don't think you're the only one, I've read others without good taste make the same comment.I didn't care for the muffs the first time I looked at it, but compared to some that have the big round ones I liked it more. Many will change out the cans anyway, on most any bike, for one reason or another. I didn't like the seat color of my 07 model. I colored it black. Never got into racing or I would have gotten something smaller, probably a Yam. sport bike.

I love my Ninja, but sometimes I wish I could hang 'real' bags on it for traveling. The soft bags I can find for it are small and wouldn't carry enough for a real vacation. I may have to look for something a little bigger with bags one day. I know the 87 ZX750R was called a sport-tourer. I wonder if there were ever 'touring bags' for it. |

I like all the z1000s and thats probably what Id go back to if I ever went sport bikes but I agree on the exhaust. I really like the shotgun exhaust of the older ones. It was probably one of the things that drew me the most.
