Default Haul your Harley to Work Day

I originally posted this in the "Ride to Work" thread. The more I think about it, the more I realize it might be a good thing to pursue - maybe we could make a buck or two! Tell me what you think.

Here it is:

OK, my HD tattooed, Willie G. worshiping, Jap-Crap bike bashing best friend with the Harley Shovelhead is upset. He can't ride his bike to work on "Ride Your Bike to Work Day" because . . you guessed it. . . it's broken down. . . again!
So, being the good friend that I am, I offered to loan him my truck so he could load it into the bed and at least participate in the event. Was he appreciative oi my generous offer. Oh nooooooo!!! He got pi$$ed at me! I told him it was Willie G. and the boys he should be mad at, not me.
So, anyways, once again, tryin' to be a buddy and make him feel better, I suggested he start a national "Haul your Harley to Work Day" every year.

He got mad and said "H#ll, I'd rather work on a Harley than ride a da*ned Jap bike anyday!! To which I replied "Great, then your wish has come true and it seems like it's EVERYDAY instead of anyday - so all the better, huh?"
Now he ain't even speakin to me. Go figure!!!!

Oh, and what does F*@# %+* A$$^+!e spell anyway????

To cut down on "haulin" costs, they could all chip in and rent a 24 ft U-Haul with a lift on the back, and then they could just have one guy responsbile for dropping them off in the AM and then picking them up in the PM.

Bama, you're a genius. I can't figure why your HD pushing buddy would get mad at you?

Thanks, bob!! That's what I'm sayin' - what's his problem with me? HE bought the over priced, over rated, HD and claims to love it. Says nothing sounds like Harley's "po-ta-to, po-ta-to, po-ta-to". I said - oh, sounded more like -
"mo-mon-ey, mo-mon-ey, mo-mon-ey" to me!

Too bad he is not able to take your ribbing about his HD as well as you take his ribbing about your Kaw. So defensive!

I saw this bumper sticker on another site. It was on a Honda Goldwing and went something like this:

If you would rather push a Harley that ride a Japanese bike
Then don't worry, you will soon get the chance

Yeah, and he said he could take joking and I couldn't. We agreed to not take any of this joking seriously. He still jokes on the " disposable Jap-drap bikes", as he calls em. So, turn about is fair play, in my book anyway. I just don't worry about his joking and remarks anymore - now I just fire away!!!!

Having owned a Shovelhead.....The only bike which is a bigger farm implement is an Ironhead Sportster. Mine is used to remind myself of how fortunate I am to ride Hondas.

Have him check the parts on his H-D and he will probably die seeing all the made in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Brazil stamped into them. The last time I visited a H-D dealer all the packages had the country of origin stamped right on them. Oh yea, and all those over $100 pieces of leather and other clothes are all made in Sri Lanka and other non-American countries. I wish all these H-D owners would just get over themselves.

A buddy of mine that rides an 800 Marauder stopped in a HD dealership on a ride recently. He forgot to lude up the old chain and t was singing real good when they stopped. He asked the parts guy for some chain lube. The parts guy looked at him like he is crazy. He says "The bikes we sell have belts on them and we dont sell Chain lube." My buddy procedes to tell him that HD used to sell bikes with chains, and then asked if they only service the new bikes. Man my buddy was ****ed. The parts mgr. appoligized to my buddy about the attitude of the parts dude. At this point my buddy storms out of the dealership and the guys he was riding with ask where he is going. He says to the auto parts store for some chain lude.

I really hate the elite-ist attitude of some people.
