If it were me, I'd contact these people and see what they've got: RAM Mounting Systems, Inc.
Make your power connections via connectors, so the GPS is removable:

For starters, need to see some pics of the bike, especially up front around the instrument cluster - do you have a windshield installed?

YUP - and I should have also asked for info on exactly WHAT brand/model of GPS is involved - tho' most later ones seem to be the rather flat type like our Garmin NUVI 1350 - I figure I'd at least TRY to simply use the provided suction cup setup and attach it to my bikes windshield - with a safety lanyard, in case it came loose...
