I wish my course was free. It costed $250! But, i think it was well worth it. i learned alot when i took the class. we even had riders with 30+ years under their belt that took the class and said they learned alot of things that they never realized before. Ever think about a Mean Streak? Awesome bike. and its a 1600!

keep your eye on Ebay and Craigslist. Craigslist is a little more of a pain cause you have to look at each area individually, but well worth it IMO. good luck !

I have ridden to the hospital once so far (it hasnt been warm enough at 6am yet) but I usually just change when I get there. You could get one of those coveralls people wear, and then you wouldnt have to worry about getting bug guts on your whites- PLUS you wouldnt have to change when you got there... Laura

I agree- I wish more states would offer this program to their residents...it really benefits everyone that uses the roads. Glad you had such a great learning experience...I should sit on a mean streak, someone else suggested I try that too... Thanks- Laura

Oh- I had never heard of Craigs list- I will have to check it out. I decided today I am going to get a 2nd puppy (everytime I say that I hear this voice in my head- "What- are you out of your mind???!!)... But I want my other pup to have someone to hang out with when we aren't there. So, I decided I need to fence in the backyard, which also means I am going to have to have the brush cleared out of the backyard- so- that is the FIRST project right now... I guess the new bike will have to wait. But I will keep my eyes open for a good deal... Thanks- Laura

Welcome Tasha! Congrats on taking the plunge and becoming a new rider... that is what life is all about- trying new things and making the most of everyday... We had a MSF class last night and one of the groups came up with a group name- "Wind Pilots"... how appropriate- that was probably the best name the students have come up with that I have seen... Go catch some wind! Laura

Welcome moto!! Glad to have you join us! Thanks for teaching others to ride correctly! All of us here plug the MSF every chance we get!

Oh yeah, you already are a "full fledged member!"

Ride safe!

yeah, Craigslist is a great site. like i said, pic your state and there may be a few sections of the state. you can also check other states close to you.
well, as long as you have your priorities straight and don't leave cause you aren't riding a Kawi yet

Welcome to the site. Don't cut yourself short, if you'll excuse the expression, you don't have to limit yourself on motor size because of your height. There's so many things that can be done to lower any bike to suit you. Jay
