Hello from East Tennessee....my name is Rob and this is my first post here. I just signed up today. I own an old, worn out, not very pretty (just like me) 1995 Vulcan 800. Glad to be here, and hope to get to know everyone.

I haven't been in the welcome thread for a while. I just wanted to say welcome to all the new members and, if you haven't already, YOU NEED TO POST PICS!!!!

Use Photobucket, and choose the Image code link (the bottom choice under your pic. Just cut and paiste it in "go advanced" on the forum.

    If that makes sense.

Thanks. I'm hoping to paint it this winter and I would love to find a rear fender for it, Classic style. The rear fender on it now is a hacked up modification of a "streetsweeper" that I didn't care for. This is what it looked like before:

Good luck, I painted my last bike and it never ran right again. It's been to the shop 8 times since I sold it last year. I guess that's what I get for putting Ford paint on a Harley...Looking back on it, what was I thinking?

Ford paint could only improve a Harley.

Well, I thought so too. I guess it didn't like the Mustang Laser Red Metalic. I should have gone Tangerine Dream Orange used on the new ones.

Glad to have you Rob. You got some great riding up there around you. Deal's Gap is a day-ride for you, isn't it?

Yes it is Dave. There are several good places to ride around here, with the Smoky Mountains being so close.

Well hello out there to everyone! Just got my 08 Vulcan 900 Custom today, wow what an awesome bike. My Old Honda Spirit was nice dependable, but just after riding only 10 miles this 900 Custom is like a Mercedes as compared to the Spirit.
The 900 has so many great features I dont know what I like the best about it.
Of course I have only had it less than a day I better like it. We will see after I get some seat time.

Still have decent temps here in Colo so I am looking forward to getting the seat time.
Well now that I written all this I see Quick Reply?

New member. A little bit about me...my name is Averitt. I've been riding on and off for a few years. I was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps before getting out and now I'm looking to join the California Highway Patrol. I hope to meet some good people on here and maybe go on a few rides.

Hi All , My name is Joe..I've just registered and thought i would post here first. I read most of this thread then jumped to the last page...o.0 Frenchy...I don't think Averitteg has ever seen CHiPs lol...no worries....Anyway, I have two KZ's myself....One is pretty much stock 82 KZ550 and the other is a KZ650 custom chopper ....my current ride...still working on it . I say its a 78 since its a KZ650-D1 SR engine but title says its a 91. I will put a pic up of it once I take a picture and figure out how to post it.
