    Hi Janet

    Welcome

You will certainly enjoy riding your own bike. I took the class when I was 55 and am so glad I did. I now have a 2007 900LT and love to ride. Only problem is, it is winter here in ol' North Dakota and the bikes are hibernating under their covers until about March or April. To tell you the truth, I am suffering withdrawal symptoms.

    Have fun and be safe.

Thanks for all the great welcomes! Went riding yesterday and should have today! Wow what weather we are having! Couldn't get Gary motivated today and had to buy the Christmas tree so we had to cruise in the truck but hopefully will do lunch tomorrow. I really am sorry for those of you who have to put the rides up during winter. Ezzie thanks for the encouragement! I am getting excited!

I wish we lived closer...I bet the group of woman would have a blast riding together. My husband rides with me and my doctor rides also. She and I have been friends much longer than she has been my doctor. I call her "my friend, the Quack"

Hello Everyone - this is OceanBreeze . Not yet a Kawasaki owner, but working on it. My cup of tea, as we say in my part of the world, is a Vulcan 900 Classic. I am hoping to import one to my country (I live in India) as there are no Kawasaki dealers here. Kawasaki is in India via BAJAJ Auto and their portfolio here is very focused on 100 - 125 cc motorcycles. Yea... thats what I am dealing with. Being a true blue biker here is not easy - roads are bad (getting better highways) but city roads suck. Traffic horrible, dusty, polluted, hot .... but; what can I do, I am a biker in my heart and soul and will always want that beautiful steed to ride into the sunset with. Nice to be here, currently living vicariously through other owners.

Well thank you NCDave. Hope I find one too .
I used to have lovely old bikes - BSA 350 Single 1956 model - restored to mint condition - found it in a back alley in Bombay ; then a BSA 1954 500 cc single (rigid frame - ouch !) it was an old army surplus, battered and beaten up. Had to dig it out of dirt literally - the owner had let it go to seed. Me and a buddy actually got on our knees in his garden and dug it out of about 2 ft of mud before we could haul it back to my house. Then over the years a Triumph Tiger 600 cc twin and a Norton ES2 500 cc (all 1950's vintages) . Now, the bug has bitten me again after a hiatus of 15 years. The classic old bike scene here is very bad - no good mechanics, heavily modified bikes (no fun if they are not original) and in general a mess - SO, decided to buy something modern.

    Default Florida Newbie

Hey! Been looking at the site for a few days and it's a great site! I have learned so much already, looking forward to learning/sharing even more. Figured it was time I said hello!

I'm live in Sunny Florida (Pensacola) where it's almost never to cold to ride. (I think there was a freak ice storm in '97)

Just got my first Bike .. '06 1600 Nomad. I did months of research and kept coming back to the Nomad, I rode my fathers Nomad and knew it was the one I wanted, while trying to workout how to buy a new one I came across a great deal on Ebay less than 100 miles from me. The bike was cherry, babied, 15,000 miles and in perfect shape. (no bling, all stock)

It was just meant to be!

Since I got such a great deal on the bike, I had money for some add-ons!!

Anyway .. great to be hear and looking forward to meeting others.

Hi all, my name is Gary. I am from South Louisiana, and I ride a 2007 Nomad. I purchased my Nomad about a month and a half ago and I love it. I used to ride a Suzuki Intruder 1400. After riding the Nomad I wonder how I ever rode that 1400. She is just the way she came from the dealer for now, but I do have plans to add lots of accessories.
