Hi, I'm Ron from Central New Jersey. I'm a new rider (again) after a 35 year hiatus. I just bought a gently used 2000 Vulcan 750 (only 7K on the clock and well cared for) and am excited about getting out to ride and to join this community of riders. I'm glad to have found this site and I'm sure that the depth of knowledge and experience here will help me greatly as I progress as a rider.

Thx,

R

Hello Jessica and welcome aboard! I had forgotten your name but am glad you introduced yourself.

There aren't many upgrades for the 500 (unfortunately) so finding some may be a challenge. Some websites that come to mind are:

Beartooth Kawasaki (as a member you'll get 15% off if you order from them)
J&P Cycles
Dennis Kirk

I'm sure others will offer some websites as they read your post.

Hi everybody! I just bought my first bike 4 days ago! I took the safety course on Mother's Day weekend and after reading on this forum I decided the Vulcan 900 Custom would be the best bike for me. Lots of info and opinions here, I'm sure I'll be asking questions in no time. You all seem like a great bunch!

Default New around here, but not to bikes

I can't believe I just found this place. There are a couple of other Kawasaki sites I hang out at, also at the ZRX board.

My name is Kevin. I'm 46 and have been riding over 31 years. I presently have 2 ZRX 1200R's. An '01 and an '05. The '01 has over 71k miles now. I've had it since new. I bought the '05 about a year and a half ago. It had 3100 when I got it. It has over 11k now.

I hope people can learn from me as much as I can learn from them.

Jayson here. New transplant from Tampa to Nashville. Sold my 350z thinking that my daily driver (94 buick LaSabre and all of it's 29/month insurance premium) was all I was going to need while I was here for a year or so....I was wrong.

It's giving all kinds a crap. Just this week I've replaced the EGR and gasket, all injectors and plugs, serpentine, thermostat and housing, alternator....and I am sure I am missing something. Either way you see what I am up against.

Got on craigslist and picked up a 05 Eliminator 125 (new to riding, but not bikes) w/ 1700 miles for 2k so I can get away from the car .

Hey all, I'm Zeph from the mountains of Virginny! I've been riding since i was 14...and that's more than 40 years ago! I didn't have a bike for about 15 years (i was living in Virginia Beach and the last bike i was riding down there i was in 11 scraps/hits/wrecks/laid down or dropped it in 4 yrs! Yes a couple of them were my fault, but caused by 4 wheelers. I swore i'd never ride a bike again in the city. So, 11 years ago we finally moved to the country. I picked up a 1996 Honda ACE 1100, and then in 2006 i found a Kaw Vulcan 1500 Classic with only 4,900 miles on it for a great price (it's now got over 18K on it)! It needed a little TLC, which it got along with new Vance/Hines longshots (and carb jetted), new Clearview shorty windshield, Utopia driver's backrest (hey, i'm an ole guy...haha), sissy bar, Cobra engine guards, new Flanders handlebars (4" higher & 4" futher back), new Kuryakyn grips, throttle bosses, foot brake cover, shifter covers, license plate cover, iso dually footpegs with heel mounts for the road pegs, PIAA White Lite for my headlight, Cobra lightbar, Biker's Choice twisted mirrors, 118 DB electric horns, chrome bolt covers, K & N air filter,......and i know there's more, but that's enough i reckon...i've got it set up for those nice long rides! This site looks great and thanks for letting me in!

New here...

Been around motorcycles for about 20 years. My first was a KZ440. Have owned something from all of the major manufacturers. From Kawasaki I have owned a KZ440, 89 ZX-7, 96 zx-7r. My wife just recently sold her 05 636.

Currently I do not have a running motorcycle. I have enough parts to build probably 2.

I am going to be coming back to Kawasaki for my next new purchase. My problem is that I am a twin fan and Kawasaki doesn't have a sport V-twin right now. SO... I may buy a 650R and do a custom chassis... who knows

Hi all , I am Pennie nice to meet everyone. I purchased my newest bike last week a 2007 Vulcan 900 Custom - Candy Plasma Blue
The thing that stinks about it is that I am having to have carpal tunnel release surgery on Friday the 13th on my left hand , the right one was operated on the 16th of May and doing pretty good . I guess it will be a few weeks until I can really get to ride again. I will just have to make up for lost time then. Nice to meet everyone

howdy, I am Chris and I am from the panhandle in Florida. I am new to motorcycles and I just bought my first bike, a 1984 Kawasaki KZ550. Its in near perfect condition and I am currently learning on that, I hope to get my endorsement sometime this month. I have been reading posts from this forum for a while and it was because of this that I decided to get the bike. Salute to everyone.

Hi all, glad to be on the forum. Kevin from central Alberta (my initials spell "KAB" thus the user name. I have not been riding for over 8 years. Last owned a 94 ZX-6 Ninja which I sold to pay for moving and mortgage expenses. I have been waiting to get back to biking for a while and have finally done it. Just picked up a beautifully maintained 06 Mean Streak.

Looking for advice for so I look forward to first hand info from those on this forum.
