New guy here, just thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself.
My name's Ben, I'm 20 years old. Currently in the Marine Corps and deployed to Al Asad, Iraq, but I'm originally from northeast TN. I have a 2003 ZX6R, silver, no mods yet. I bought it fairly recently (first bike, never ridden before), and got it with about 3600 miles on it, so it's still in very good shape for the year. I've put around 400 miles on it so far so I'm still definitely a newbie, but hopefully when this deployment is over I can put a lot more miles away. Well that's about I've got, it's about half past midnight here, so it's bedtime for me.. |

i need help... I have a 98 vulcan1500 classic and the battery died a month ago. put a new battery in and it died in two weeks. My friend said to run it and disconnect the battery and if it shuts off, it needs a stator. Does this sound right?

Another new guy here. My name is Vince but everyone calls me Bones (long story). I live 60 miles NW of Chicago in the little town of Sycamore. 47 yo and kinda sort of retired. Got hammered with Rheumatoid Artritis but starting to ride again since I'm recoving now.
I have a 1984 FJ1100 but it's just too hard for me to ride the bike. I have a buyer for the FJ so I bought something with a more comfortable riding style. I bought a 1988 KZ1000 police bike and I love it! Last month I flew to Albuquerque to pick it up and drove it to my parent's home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Had a blast on the trip and put about 800 miles on the bike. Only real problem I encountered with a leaking petcock. Imagine my wife's surprise when I called her to say "dear, I developed a drippy petcock on the trip". Hope to learn a bit here and share some info as well. Bones ![]()

Howdy!
My name is Michelle and I just sold my first bike which was an 04 Ninja 250, and have ordered a new 2010 6505 - Candy Lime Green. I can't wait to get her home! Been riding about a year, and it's all my husband's fault! LOL He rides a 2008 ZX14 and loves every ounce of it. We took the Advanced Rider Safety Class (I was a co-rider) offered by Honda here in OH and I was hooked, so we bought my 250. I'm loving all the info so keep it coming!

Hey everybody ! Thought I'd check the place out if ya don't mind. Weather is starting to get cooler and was lookin for something to keep me busy, maybe learn a little, been riding for a few years, right now I have a 1981 750LTD, it's black with the red and gold pinstripes, I'd post a pic of it but I don't have a camera, it is far from perfect, but it don't look bad and it gets me around fine !

Hi guys,
I'm from Ireland and thinking of buying my first Kawasaki soon, a 1987 GPZ 400 (or was it a GPX??? Can't remember properly, always mix em up). I currently ride a Honda Innova 125, also known as the ANF or Wave in Asia. It's fine but really is a glorified scooter with gears but it can't be faulted - it's good for what it is. Anyway this place seems good, friendly and helpful so I look forward to reading and asking questions too of course! |
