Greetings, I'm Jeiman and I recently found this site after looking for some information about my new (used) Ninja250r. It's a 2003 and had only 4811 miles on it when I purchased it. Never been dropped, and has no signs of abuse. Many people tell me it looks like a new bike Her name is Julia.

Nice Trike!! I've only found this site a few weeks back...I have been able to discover quite a bit of information thats helped me. I'm new to riding, so this has been great! Welcome...
Oh, and on a side note, Scotland will be my next BIG travel destination, in 2012. A few family members & I have been doing heritage research, and although my more RECENT ancestry comes from Austria, Croatia, France, and England...THEY ALL came originally from Scotland! Both my mom & dads ancestry is in Dumfriesshire. So, I am looking forward to seeing Scotland!!!

Greetings!! My bike's Sasha..Look left That's her!! Although, I need some new pics & hope to get some this weekend...I love my 250R. I bought mine from an Military officer. It was his only transportation. He took good care of her..It's a 2007, the year before they 'modernized' them. I kinda like the more retro look myself. Maybe because I'm a retro rider! Welcome & enjoy! I have learned alot here!!

Why thanks! Alot of time and dedication went in to getting it looking the way it does it means alot to me when somebody comments on it looking good So thanks again you made my day! It would be alot nicer if it was running properly though Lol I was told it was more than likely the CDI unit that was faulty but I fitted a new one today and it's exactly the same as before so some more investigating is required....Gutted isn't the word, I was hoping to get out on it this weekend.

I'm sure you will enjoy your trip to Scotland, the only thing I will say is make sure you take your wet weather gear and plenty of midge repellent, Dumfres is in the south of Scotland, I'm up in the North east corner but if your anyway near this direction give me a shout you never know I might've got the trike running again by then and you could get to see it for real.

    Take it easy,
    Iain

I take it that a MIDGE, is a bug of some sort? I love hearing new words & phrases from over the pond!! Anyway, it would actually be nice to see rain! Here in Arizona, especially in YUMA...A podunk town, I get rain about once or twice a year!!!! I only stay here, because it's a 2 1/2 hour drive to San Diego & Phoenix..and a 5 hour drive to Las Vegas!!!
But, when I come fly over for the Olympics, I would surely like to look up a few people!!

Yeah it's a tiny little flying bug, what it looses out on in size more than makes up for in annoyance, it's almost as Scottish as kilts and whiskey, If have search online for the Dreaded Scottish midge you'll get a better understanding of what I'm talking about.
Oh you're making me jealous, we call it a good summer if we get two days of sunshine in a row...Lol Well it's maybe not quite that bad but you get what I mean....put it this way I'm looking out the window and it's pouring down with rain at the moment and yesterday was exactly the same!
Hahahhaha!!! You could drive from one end of Scotland to the other in 5hrs, you speak about it as though it's not that far away lol So are you coming over to compete in the Olympics or just spectating?

Thumbs up Re: Official Welcome Thread

Hey all! Brand new to the forum and to the bike world. I just purchased a new (2 miles on the odometer) ER-6n. I do not have anything else to compare the bike to, but I absolutely love riding it! I put approximately 190 miles on it this past weekend. I would have kept going but my knees and neck were not cooperating. I guess they will adapt over time. Just wanted to say hello and look forward to meeting some fellow riders on the road. Already planning on doing a ride with the shop that I bought my bike from in three weeks. I already feel that any excuse is a good enough excuse to get on the bike and ride!

    Welcome Dan.
If the new lamps don't have a ground wire, they are meant to ground through their mount. If there is a ground wire from the old lamp wiring, hook that to the mounting screw to ensure a good ground.
