Hello everyone. Rob here in Canada.
I'm am riding a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650C2 I've had since '84. Lots of mods over the years, and more to come this Winter, including a Rickman fairing I bought a few months ago. I have not seen a Rickman on a 650, so I'm excited to see how it turns out.

I finally told my mum that I had passed my test and had a bike and she surprised me by being really chuffed that her daughter was once again doing her own thing!
by the way - the weather in england is fairly poor at the moment - cold and damp but not really heavy rain - i'm still riding as i have invested in heated jacket liner and heated gloves - lovely and toasty!!
welcome to the forum ! sounds like you picked a good bike to start on. any pics yet ?

ya i picked it up for cheap cuz of the salvage title. i needs front fairing, mounting hardware for that fairing, a stock headlight, wiring harness, plus a stator.

the previous owner rigged the bike so it would work but i want to get it back to stock, where it looks clean. its going to be a big project.

that's cool, sounds like not too much damage, definitely manageable. good luck with it, and keep us posted, especially with pics !

Hi again -
right someone here asked where "Dunstable" is - basically its in Bedfordshire just north of London but beneath Birmingham - it's got a mixture of town and country so some great roads for the bike.
Also here is a pic of me and my bike!
