hi to all out there, im from north wales, just found this site a few days ago, alot of very interesting opinons and tips, i own a 2006 vn 2000, had a harley, a couple of sports bikes prior to this one, but she is by far the best one i have had and will be keeping her for a few years to come, could do with a few more extra's on the market but i have noticed over the lasy 12 months that things are starting to change on that front, not so much in the uk, but quite a few in the us.

This is my first post on this forum. Realy interesting reading and posts. I ride a '07 Vulcan 900 for a few months. No biking experience before that, but I have taken to it like a duck to water. I am lovin it. I have completed the BRC and am properly licensed. I live in NW Florida, Pensacola. I look forward to being part of the community. |

Hi all,
Just picked up a 1989 Ninja 500 and also a 1989 Ninja 750. Both are projects and both should end up being a bit of fun when they are ready. Not too far off the healthy path. Look forward to asking questions and getting some help. Question. -> is there a specific thread for the above bikes? |

Nothing for those bikes specifically, but if you post in the mechanics area folks should be able to help with questions.

Here goes fellas! That's my "new" 1985 ZN1100 LTD. Still have to redo the decals, otherwise pretty much completed. Just click the adress below, and let me know if you have any suggestions or tips.

I'm Vin, been riding since 1973. Took a few years off and now I'm back in the seat with my 1985 Ninja 600R. It's a fixer that was rode hard and put away wet. Needs a lot of TLC but runs great.
My first bike was a 1966 Honda Hawk, second was a brand new 1974 Honda CB550. I miss that ole bike, wish I had it back. Love the Kawi though! Pictures coming soon! Email me or PM me any time! Happy riding all! |

Not so sure about what brand synthetic oil to use and you already know it has to be clutch friendly. You can get Sea Foam at Autozone and probably most of the national auto supply stores. It is some amazing stuff - just bought a used bike and that's -almost- the first thing I did to it. Be safe on your new ride and enjoy. |

Howdy, thought I'd pop in and say hello after lurking for few visits. I'm on a new type of bike now and enjoying it, KLR 650 , '07 model . Getting the fever to pull my Z out of the storage room and dust it off . Bad fever at that. It all started when I bought my 12 year old son a bike to learn the ins and outs of owning/operating/repairing a scoot . Got him a perfect bike to learn it all too, the '97 KE100. Well, I needed something to ride so I found a KLR . Now I ride it to work everyday . WooHoo !!!!! Feeling good all over again. Hope to add to the forums at times and learn too. Thanks for a great place to hang out.
Kevin

this is for all you Vulcan 900 riders. I am thinking on riding to Austin (350 miles roucd trip) or maybe back home to Lafayette, La. which is 500 turn around and wondering what kind of trips some of you guys or gals have taken. How did the 900 do on the interstate and what was your cruising speed. I ride an LT with 2000 miles and itching to go. Ride hard. be safe

Hi My Name is Nick, I'm new to this forum (and it has been very helpful so far) Although I have a couple questions regarding my most recent Kawasaki venture..Maybe somebody can help? First a little about me,which I think will help in answering my question... I have been strictly dealing off-roading bikes for the past several years i.e. ATV's mainly four wheelers and the occasional three wheeler (I Love the classic trikes) recently I came across a "barnyard find" . An 80's model Kawasaki "Enduro", 80's is my ball park guess given the dual shock suspension in the rear. I have taken down the frame number DX250A-502298 which has lead me to believe this is a Kawasaki DX250A (according to my experience with the ATV's) although, I am having a hard time justifying this guess based on Google's lack of info on this model (I have found DX250B's).Basically for this complete re-build ( I do not want to buy a new bike a complete build and restoration is what I am after) I have a frame ,forks, handle bars and thats about it.. I am looking for an engine (the code on that was DX250AE002490 ,again implicating a 250 ) but cannot find a website with any solid info to back up my guess ...So My question is How do I find out exactly what year and Model this bike is (it will be hopefully an enduro upon completion, if not just a dirt-bike) and, where do I find things like ferrings, brake systems, and all the parts to build this bike from the ground up? Any suggestions or ideas would be very helpful as I have been searching the internet pretty relentlessly for some info, and all the experts seem to be here..Please Help if you have some answers I am pretty eager to start this project...

Correction to my previous post, I believe this may be an F11 around a 74 or 75...I have been reading through the posts and my bike looks closest to those. but, I still need suggestions on where to get parts, I will post some pics in a new thread and try and keep everybody updated on my progress...
