Hello All,
New to the forum here and to riding, well sort of anyway. I started out at 10yrs old on a '66 Honda Dream in pearl white. Granted it was only a 305 but I was 10, so I had to lean it and stand on one foot. A few others to follow and some years gone by when I ended up over seas and gave up riding. Now at age 43 the bug has returned, so I took the MSF course, picked up my license and went shopping. I wanted weight and power for long trips, but of course wanted looks as well; my problem was/is that I'm cheap. Problem solved, my local dealer had a never owned 2006 Vulcan 2000 sitting back in the corner. The salesman (and friend) told me they got it in late in the year just before the 07's and now with 08's on the floor there was no way anyone would look at it. I picked it up with full warranty and first title for dealer cost plus $59 dealer prep. That was a few months back and we've been happy ever since. I do need a good set of leathers for this winter, as long as the road is dry, we'll be together. |

Hey y'all.
I am Matt and I live in Owensboro KY. First and last thing I ever rode was my dads old KZ 750 up and down the hills. I made him a promise I would get a motorcycle someday. Now he is gone, along with my mother (lost them both within 3 months last summer) so I am now here. Looking for my first motorcycle and have fallen in love with the 900's I will be buying soon. I stumbled upon this forum and have been reading for about a month...

Sorry - posted this in the wrong place
Hi - just a friendly 'Hello' from the UK (Hartlepool in the NE) - I've been lurking on the forum for a while so thought I'd register The name's Richard. I'm late to biking (51!) and passed my Full Test just this last June, after learning with my daughter which was a nice thing to do together! Shows you how learning gets a more difficult as you get older- she passed nearly a year before me! The bike test is about to change over here from October 1st, so really pleased to get through before then at 2nd attempt! There's so much good stuff on this site - my daughter and I both have ER500s - mine's restricted to 33bhp for 2 years as I passed the test on a '125' rather than '500' here's myself and daughter Sarah... ![]() and here's my bike .... ![]() and the Yam ybr 125 I learned on and passed the test ... ![]() |

Hello ! I found this site while looking for some info. First of all, thanks ! I have spent most of my initial time here using the search function and the info found here has helped me greatly. I live in Prescott Valley, AZ and have owned many bikes over the years (I'm 46). Mostly smaller, simpler bikes like my 1st street bike, a '72 Honda CB175 to a couple of Honda XR's.
I just picked up my first Oh -*hit bike, a 1985 Ninja 900. It's a project case and hopefully tomorrow I'll try and light her up for the 1st time. I'm a little worried that I may have taken on more than I'm ready for. If so, you may soon see some parts for sale ! Just kidding ! The last thing I ever want to do is to carve up a good machine. I'm taking some pics as I go along. Hopefully, I'll be taking some pics soon, showing it movin' down the road. All for now, Stephen |

Hello Everyone,
I'm Chris from Northern California, and just started riding again after nearly 20 years off bikes. I just bought a used 03 Vulcan 800 Classic last week after doing a ton of research on cruisers. So far I am very pleased with the performance and handling. My wife is less pleased with me back on a bike, but at 58 I decided waiting longer was not wise. I am signed up for the MSF course this weekend, but already loving my commute to work! |

Hi All,
John from Alberta, Canada. Just bought an '06 V2K Classic - put 700 miles on in the first week - and love the bike (have to do something about the seat though!). I've been riding for about 30 years (I'm 45 now). Interesting comments from a shop owner when I got my out of Province inspection done. He is a Harley guy (and I am not knocking them - I love the look and style of Harleys), and he said after taking my bike for a run, "what I am doing? (referring to himself) - he said "your bike has more power, brakes that actually stop it, and great style, and it was half the price of a comparable Harley." It made me feel good - it was his first ride on one of the Kawi cruisers, and he was very impressed. |

I'm Sarona, and totally new to anything like this. I'm trying to unload (donate) a 1985 Kawasaki motorcycle, but can't find any registration or title. The last time it was registered in Los Angeles was 1990, so you have an idea how old it is and how long it has been sitting in someone's garage, inactive. It doesn't run currently, but a few years ago my husband tinkered with it and got it to run, then tinkered some more and now it doesn't run. It's a pain to get the papers, but no one will take it without the title. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get rid of it? Thanks

Hello everyone, I'm David. Grew up in Southern CA, transplanted to Arkansas. Enjoy riding hills, farmlands, stretches of road. Lots of mosquitoes out by the rice fields, got to ride fast to keep em off. Lots of great information and friendly folks. Some other hobbies are guns, keeping fish, and RC airplanes.

Thanks for the welcome.
I just traded my 08 Mule 610 for Seasonal Site fees for several years and the owners Mule 1000. I understand they were last produced beteen 1990 and 1995. I works great. I am trying to locate specifications for it and also trying to find a hard roof and windshield for it with no luck. Terry Any ideas out there to help with this endeavor. I miss my 610 but the 1000 just needs some TLC. It looks 300% better with a power wash so far. Thanks |
