Does anyone know of any vendor making kid-size riding gear? I have not been able to find anything except for a helmet. My 12-yr old son can sorta fit my wife's 15-year old leathers (that she says she's too old to wear now anyway
) but I can't find anything for my 11-yr old daughter. I'd like to get at least a textile jacket and pants. Please, no flame-war on the subject of riding with your kids on the back.

From what I've seen, most of the gear for kids is aimed at the dirt crowd. You might check with some of the larger dealers. I do rememer seeing some stuff at Chapparell in San Bernideno. They are a huge outlet and have amost everything you could ask for.
Of course, our own Beartooth kawasaki can order almost anything your little heart desires....

yea... you won't find much of street gear for kids only because there's not much of a demand for it... you know, a kid sitting on the back of a street bike, doesn't seem right... not flaming, just the facts of business... but there are tons of dirt stuff for kids... maybe they can wear the dirt gear underneath their clothes? buy bigger clothes and sorta stuff it with gear on the insides?

you know, i've always wondered if you could get like a small leather jacket or something, and just go to your nearest stitch place and have them stitch in them CE approved kevlar... might be an economical thing to look into? and if you're handy yourself, you could always do it yourself... dunno... maybe i'm going overboard...

I found a site a while back that had kid/youth sized helmets and jackets.
I'll see if I can find it again.

Please, no flame-war on the subject of riding with your kids on the back.[/QUOTE] And why would we? At 8 I was on my uncles kawi zx6 and at 10 yrs old I was riding my aunt's scooter and hey im still alive! What im getting at is you want to share your passion with your kids, and you are taking all the precautions necesary. Even when you cant find stuff for them you dont get discouraged, but instead you reach out for help. It shows that you want to do things the right way. More power to ya!
