I STAND corrected...no pun intended...

I did it the easier way, I just bought an 06 V2K. Saved the extra cost, I think, sorta, maybe.

Default V2k All The Way

Man I love this thing. Had a crappy morning so I went home, dropped off the RAM Daytona and got on the soothing V2K. 10 miles later. All is smiles now. Something to do with 2053CCs baby!

Ahhhh... Shoot. They're both great bikes. But since my wife and I own a Nomad and think it's the greatest thing since ice cream...

+1 for the Nomad!

Well I guess I could say I own them both and this year I am riding a 1500 Classic but really loved the 1500 Nomad, however the V2K the power can't be beat. I didn't want to seem like I was riding the fence on this issue so I am sending a photo of my new Demo as not to sway the discussion!. LOL

Jim, is that an ordered rig for an independant or is it for local use by the forestry department?

Also....have you thought much about a V2K trike? Shirley already got her fun rig (1975 VW Super Beetle) so it wouldn't be for her. Just curious if this will move forward after our last discussion about it?

First that machine is part of a new divison called Beartooth Fire and Rescue. The V2K trike has gone nowhere, apparently the conversion companies have their hands full at the present.I just can't get any takers in coverting the Kawasaki bike, some older voyagers but thats about it.

Ken the heater works great when we put full cabs on them, this is our demo for the new fire unit we are mounting on it, great setup 70 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam.

Jim, how do they deal with deep snow. Is that the Mule with an aftermarket track kit?

Every other year or so our severe weather takes the power out for our radio repeaters. When that happens all emergency services shut down until I can get the systems back up on a generator. Often the snow drifts are 10' deep and I need to haul this monster (below) to the base of the mountain on low-boy before making the 15 mile trip up the hill. One of those just might be the ticket if they are good in deep snow.

How cool!!! Did you guys put the tracks on it?

Since Shirley has her VW Super Beetle I don't think she'll be thinking of getting a motorcycle ever. Sad indeed as I miss her company while riding.

Maybe in time some companies will take a look at the V2K for conversion. Heck...with it's power it could be setup to move houses.
