I am a little one sided here, but I will say the Nomad is a very nice looking bike, But it does not have the power that My beast has. My Bike is everything I want it to be, plus. When I add the Power commander and the cold air intake and then the pipes, then the cosmetic items such as Hard bags and the extra chrome I dont think there will be any bike that could comapre with the V2K. IMO

V2K , all the way . i own a V2K & i also own a mean streak 1600 , i can tell you the power of the V2K & overall finish is of higher spec IMO over my meanie . both bikes are great , but if i had to live with one only it have to be my V2K.

I've ridden both myself since my buddy owns one and we ride together. After getting off the V2K, the accelleration on the Nomad feels like a Vespa.

Nope, when the bike fell over the bag guard took the majority of the hit followed by the handle on the bag. I'm still trying to get up the courage to tear it all apart to replace it. The chrome handle is about $100 from BTK.

Ahhhhhh...so you don't have to replace the hard bag? Maybe it was someone else that was looking into buying a new hb for thier Nomad.

Well its like the turtle and the hair, you guys on the V2K have to be twice as fast to win becuase you'll need two trips to haul the same pile of stuff as the Nomad

The V2K hauls butt, the Nomad hauls everything else

Default V2k all the way

Just bought a 04 v2k, I have ridden harley, yamaha, Wing, etc. While the wing was a great bike I felt like I was ready for the old folks home when I got off, same with the glide. Vanity, I know. The V2K can be fitted with the long haul necessities if needed and the power is Freaking awesome. My first squeeze of the throttle made me back off. (im old now) If your man enough to get it off the kick stand (lol, my son couldnt ha) and you like riding with your legs wide open, you can't beat this ride. Can't wait till I can get back on!

Yeah the 04 V2K had a short kickstand I hear, and they were a bear to get vertical. I remember when I first tried. I said, naw, this bike isn't for me. But after two years of looking and dreaming, I saw one that caught my eye, and I sat on it again, this time it wasn't so hard to get off the stand and it felt GOOOOOD. I hear they lengthened the kick stand after 04. I debated over the V2K, Meanie and Nomad for months.

The V2K won, an 06 V2K Limited. Fantastic bike. Love every minute I'm on it.

Glad to see another person join the ranks of the V2K Junkies..

Congrats, and show us a pic when you get a chance.

LOL...

I was shopping for a bike a few years back and looked at a couple of Wings and a Voyager and my wife made the comment...why are you looking at old men bikes? I had to laugh and told her I was getting older so maybe that was the attraction.

I wound up buying a 1500 Classic.

Yeah... to the tune of $200 smackaroo's. I'd rather get the extra workout for that number of clams.

Yes, sir! Or 1/3 of the way to a Corbin's classic solo.

I'll tell you, though, if I wasn't changing the look of the bike, I'd have kept the stocker and have been just fine with it. I really had gotten used to it.

Have you done anything with the highway pegs? It makes all the difference to have a second, relaxed foot position.

I had just finished putting the Cobra bars and Kury riding pegs (w/extensions) on Missy before taking her to Hollister. What a difference that made. Now if I could find some risers that would work I would really be happy .

I need some set-back on those bars (lean to far forward).
