Default 2003 ZX6RR G P shift pattern

Hey anyone got any ideas on how to properly convert my street shift pattern over to a GP shift pattern 1-up 5-down for the track. Without buying an unneeded aftermarket rear sets. I have tried to merely invert the shift link, which initally works fine. However, because the part that connects directly to the shift rod doesn't bolt on securely to the shift rod that comes out from tranny.

Thanks
