The ZX636 are a great track / street machine .
I love it.. It's my 2nd bike.. First was a tank, 1996 GSXR750 SRAD. Fast, but bulky. Handles great, looks great, and has plenty of power I have no complaints with this bike.
I recently discovered a slow coolant leak from one of the hoses, but I guess this is normal tightened up the hoses and the leak went away. I have close to 9,000 miles in a year of ownership.
I just can't stop riding it!
It *might* be 'girly' to buy a bike purely for looks if the bike couldn't performBut, we all know about the 636's performance... I don't think you'd have anything to worry about if you aquired one

Wingzer,
I wanted a 600cc sportbike as my first bike, and frankly, for someone with no experience, I don't think buying a Gixxer 600, an R6, a 600RR or a 636 makes ANY difference whatsoever.
I bought the 636 simply because I thought it was the nicest-looking of the lot.
If that answers your question![]()
06 636 - the last of it's kind
Yes, it's girlie, but this is the 21st century and it's okay. On the other hand, if you ride it and it fits you and your riding style and you buy it, it becomes non-girlie.

I'll take the joke, but I reiterate that unless you are a VERY experienced rider, I don't think the current line-up of 600 sportbikes differ much with regards to riding position, handling, and engine characteristics.Originally Posted by Jake '53
So at the end of the day the only logical choice is to choose the bike that one thinks LOOKS the best.
And I don't see anything girly about that... it's just common sense.

You pick a girl based on looks same goes for a bike as you know they both can be modified. Bikes and chicks are alot alike you ride both and eventually they will cause you trouble!
its girlie to want a bike only to match your boots

I didn't change my mind.....I just added to my ORIGINAL PLAN
Doesn't everyone pick a bike on looks?
I mean, I'll grant you that I would ride an ugly bike, but...I would try and make some changes to something a bit more pretty.
After all, a bike is like a woman, they all want to look good, no matter how much makeup that takes.![]()
I buy bikes on price first, looks second. Otherwise I'd be in debt into my next lifetime on MV Agusta's And Ducati's........
its not girly to want a bike because of its looks but it is girly to ask if its girly to do so

I would argue that the performance range is a lot wider for women than it is for sportsbikesOriginally Posted by Drifter
