You have a Vulcan classic? What kind of saddlebags are you looking at? I have the large LeatherLyke bags (cross country), and they aren't in the way of my taillight. They hold a LOT of stuff and are nice because they lock and are waterproof. Very tough, too.

BTW, welcome to the forum!

yes I have a classic 800...Im looking at any type of saddlebag that I can actually put stuff in..........does Leatherlyke have a website.......the relocation is because with bigger bags think my sons knees will be up around his ears also........not to mention get in the way of the passenger pegs

Check this out:

http://www.hoese.com/

I never carry passengers, but a good friend of mine had the large cross country bags on his Meanstreak, and he and his wife rode two-up all the time. She never had a problem with them being in the way of her feet.

They have two sizes. The smaller size is plenty big enough to carry rain gear, tools, water, food, and anything else you might need.

If you decide to order something like this, be sure to check with the owners of this forum, BTK. They can order them for you, and they give you a discount because you're a member of the forum.

Oh, and you should post a pic of your bike! We really like to see pictures.

I'm not sure where they're available, other than online or by ordering from BTK. I think LeatherLyke has a version available without the tassles. Check the web site to be sure about that and about shipping to Canada. I know BTK can ship to Canada for sure.

You can relocate them with a signal light bar off a 1500 Classic.
