I would love to have a 14, Might not get back on the nomad. But the nomad would have to stay for comfort. The long trips on the 14 might be tough, i don't know that for sure. they just don't feel as comfortable as a cruiser to me.

I think the Meanie is poorly named. It is hardly mean. It's a cruiser. It may sound mean but even that is open to debate. I'm not a fan of this whole power cruiser niche.
I own a red 95 GPZ1100 and would love to upgrade to the ZX14 in red. The ZX is a GT bike. It's made for high speed touring. It won't twist you up like a ZX10 and the semi sport position is bound to be more comfy than a sit on your *** all day cruiser. |

the ZX 14 is a awesome motorcycle , but how fast can you really go on speed limited road's ? the Mean Streak can keep you
while staying within speed limit's & is able to break past speedlimit's with ease when a need for speed is required . how fast do you really want to go ?? |

I like both...The ZX-14 feels way bigger than the meanie...The Meanie is also more comfy. Depends on what you want...If I were you....ZX-14...That insurance will be huge.

didn't even think about the insurance thing, that may be the factor.
so why would i favor the 14? well if you have to much you have a choice to use it or not. but when you don't have enough, that can be a real b----! i don't see comfort being a problem. if i can ride a mtn bike for 70 mi on trails with that skinny seat, then i don't see any mcycle seat being a prob. thanks. |

If you can ride a mountain bike that far without the backside hurting, There is no motorcycle made that's gonna make you sore. that being the case i would get the zx-14, but that may be because i want one now.

not sure about where you live but my insurance isn't anymore for my zx12r than for my meanie....actually i think the meanie is more because I carry my wife as a driver on it.

I rode a buddy's Zx-14 and it was quite comfortable (I ride a meanie). He had it set up a little less agressive, but I was quite impressed by the comfort nonetheless.
I say get the zx-14. Special Edition of course |

i'm almost afraid to go to the dealer right now because you know why.
for me it would be nice if the 14 came in the flat black flamed look like the meany. still i think i'm on the right track, have some time before it's time to ride again. some times it's good to be patient. |
