I don't care where my truck was built. It's going on 8 years old now and my F-150 has been excellent. During year 2, my computer turned out to be bad, but that was covered under warranty. Other than that, it's just been tires, brakes and normal regular maintenance. It has a few very minor rattles that are starting to develope (on in the driver's side door and one in the dash), but so far it's holding up structurally, as well.

Now, would I buy another one at this point? Probably not. Nothing against Ford or the F-150, but full sized pickups are just getting too expensive. In addition, $1.50/gallon for gas isn't gonna happen unless we see a large influx of alternative fuels very soon. I'll keep this truck as long as I can, then look at something a bit smaller and less thirsty. While my truck does well for its size, I'd like to get at least into 25 MPG territory on the next vehicle.

Ask me if at this point I'd purchase another F250 powerstroke diesel, or any full sized diesel pickup

I haven't seen a Ford truck as old as my Chevy on the road still functioning in...well, not for years. Gee, I wonder why.

How old is your truck? I'll check back with you then.

Blame it on Ramprat: he revived the thread after it was in hibernation for three weeks.

Of course, he was responding to my post, so you can waggle your finger at me, too.
