I am new to this site, and need some help. I have just purchased a 1992 ZX 600R kawasaki ninja. They said the carbs where tuned-up, however right after I purchased it the valves started making noise. I have checked the valves and get clearance of 14 on one and 8 on another and 4 on the last. I do not have the specks, so I stopped. I have been trying to get the service manual so that I can adjust them, and have had no luck. Can anyone help me to find the right amount gap for the valves? It would be greatly appreciated. It is a twin cam.

Default To the end of the road

What a ride to the end of the road @ Harve St Pierre,Qc from Lake George, NY.The trip was just over 2,000 miles, the weather was foggy, overcast and rain with a couple nice days.If you want to see whales this is the place to go.We camped on long point beach< Minigan>where the whales, porpuse and seals swam by less than 100 yards out.I pulled a homemade teardrop trailer full of our camping gear with my bride on back and my son on a ZR7 we had a blast.I recommend that you call ahead for your ferry reservation, the ferries have limited tie-downs available, some with only two, more than once we were number 3&4 in line and got bumped off.We just traveled further to the next crossing and finally crossed @ St Simon to River De Loop.Gas was $1.38 a liter average, tent camping $25 night,Labat Blue$12 a sixer. This trip was as fun as the Gaspe Penninsula but a 1 day backtrack was the only bummer(I hate riding a reverse route)The Blue whales will be in at the end of August so I'm told. There is a whale research center there where you can go out with the biologist for a day of work for that hands on experiance.Mully

You may want to post your question in the sportbike section. This particular area barely ever gets used.

Good luck.
